2022 Women’s Wimbledon Predictions & Betting Picks

We have expert betting predictions for the 2022 Ladies Wimbledon tournament, which starts on Monday night.

Following her French Open success, Iga Swiatek headlines the betting. The market has a different look but it’s wide open and it’s anyone’s tournament to win.

There are a host of players looking to become the next Wimbledon champion and we look at the best value bets available.

2022 Women’s Wimbledon Predictions

2022 Ladies Wimbledon Tournament Winner – Iga Swiatek

Iga Swiatek has gone to a new level and her win at the French Open showcased her skills.

She is one of the rising stars of the game and she tops the women’s world rankings, so she demands attention and that is reflected in betting markets.

Bookmakers have the favourite at $2.40 to win and it’s a short quote. However, she is currently the best player in the tournament and we’re in her camp.

The Polish star hasn’t played since the French Open, so her lack of recent experience on grass courts is a concern, but she won the Stuttgart Open in April and that’s an excellent form guide.

Bet: Iga Swiatek @ $2.40

2022 Ladies Wimbledon Best Value – Simona Halep

Simona Halep is a former world number one who has struggled with injury problems over the last few years. However, her experience can’t be overlooked.

She made the semi-final of the Bad Homburg Open before pulling out but she had looked good prior to the exit. If she can replicate that effort and stay healthy, she’s a chance to cause an upset.

The 2019 Wimbledon champion knows what it takes to win on the grass courts and punters get $15 to enjoy, which is well worth snapping up.

Bet: Simona Halep @ $15

2022 Ladies Wimbledon Best Roughie – Angelique Kerber

We always find ourselves backing Angelique Kerber because she has the game to return to her best.

The 34-year-old German was a beaten quarterfinalist at Homburg last week but she always saves her best for the big moments.

The three-time Grand Slam winner is not past her best, despite her age, so she’s worth sticking with at the current odds. Bookmakers have the 2018 Wimbledon champion at $34 and the tournament is there to be won by someone with her experience.

We expect Kerber to be around $24 to win, so we’re locking in the value.

Bet: Angelique Kerber @ $34

2022 Ladies Wimbledon Longshot – Amanda Anisimova

Amanda Anisimova lost to Simona Halep at the Homburg Open but it was a step in the right direction for the 20-year-old.

She has needed time to mature into a better tennis player and it’s now time to show her best. She is always making the quarters and semifinals, so she can rattle off three and four consecutive wins.

The problem has been with beating the top-ranked players, but at the $51 odds, she’s worth backing throughout the tournament and in futures markets. We expect her odds to firm to around $36 if she gets through the opening two rounds.

Bet: Amanda Anisimova @ $51
