We have expert predictions for the 2022 Wimbledon Men’s Final between Novak Djokovic and Australia’s Nick Kyrgios.

2022 Men’s Wimbledon Final – Djokovic vs. Kyrgios Predictions

Novak Djokovic vs. Nick Kyrgios Preview

Despite off-field disruptions, Nick Kyrgios is putting all his focus on the tennis court and he gets his best chance to win a grand slam on Sunday night.

The enigmatic Australian had a free pass in the semifinal when Rafael Nadal pulled out due to injury, which bodes well for his chances in the final. He will be the fresher player, compared to Novak Djokovic, who had a four-set match in his semifinal.

It has been largely business as usual for Djokovic, who defeated Cameron Norrie 3-1 after dropping the first set. He has dropped a few sets throughout the last two weeks but that shouldn’t worry him heading into the Wimbledon final.

Incredibly, Djokovic and Kyrgios have met twice in the past and it’s 2-0 to the Australian. Both matches came in 2017 in Mexico and Indian Wells, and they were straight set victories for Kyrgios, which could play a huge part mentally for him.

Djokovic has an overall win/loss record of 1005/204 and Kyrgios is much less impressive at 184/109, but head-to-head statistics should always be looked at.

Novak Djokovic vs. Nick Kyrgios Betting Tips

Bookmakers have Djokovic as the firm $1.25 favourite and we’re not surprised at those odds. However, we don’t see much value with the Serbian in this situation.

Even though betting on Kyrgios can be a dangerous proposition due to his poor temperament, we think he could relish this opportunity because it might be the last one he gets.

Punters get juicy odds of $4 for the Australian and that’s too good to pass up. It’s a rare situation for a Wimbledon final and he has easily enough ability to cause an upset, so long as he gets his mind on the game and doesn’t get frustrated by something trivial.

Trusting Kyrgios to keep his mind on the job is almost impossible but the odds can’t be overlooked. We’re locking in the $4 and also finding value in other markets.

Kyrgios is $1.40 to win a set and that’s worth including in tennis multis. He should win at least one set at minimum and we think it could be a five-set classic, which also leans up towards taking the total match games over 39.5.

Punters can also lock In Kyrgios with a +4.5-game head start. Most of the money has come for Djokovic, who has been backed into $1.80 for this option, but we think the value is clearly with Kyrgios at the odds.

For a bit more value, we’re also locking in Kyrgios 3-2 at $8.50. It’s not an easy bet to correctly predict but the Wimbledon Men’s Final is always exciting and it could go the distance.

Bet: Nick Kyrgios @ $4
