We have expert betting tips for the 2021 Masters at Augusta National this week. It’s the biggest golf tournament of the year and bookmakers have incredible value available.
With hundreds of betting options available, we look at the best markets, including tournament winner, first round leader, top Australian and top lefty.
U.S. Masters Golf Predictions
2021 Masters Winner – Dustin Johnson
Dustin Johnson is the defending Masters champion and there is no reason to jump off his back this week.
His win in November set a tournament record and the conditions are set to be perfect again. He destroyed the field in 2020 and although his form since hasn’t been as dynamic, he is well-prepared for this tournament.
Johnson chose to miss the Valero Texas Open last week in preparation for The Masters. It could be a masterstroke from the world’s best golfer, and we love the odds available.
Double-figure odds for the #1 rated golfer in the world is good shopping and we think Johnson will give punters a good sight.
He should be around the first page of the leaderboard after Round 1 and then make his move on the weekend.
Bet: Dustin Johnson @ $10
2021 Masters Value Bet – Justin Thomas
It seems as though Justin Thomas is destined to be a Masters champion and it could come this way.
Thomas has been in good form throughout the season and many experts believe he’s ready to win his second major. The PGA Championship winner’s game is perfect for Augusta and after finishing fourth in 2020, he could improve on that position.
On average, players are more likely to win The Masters at their sixth appearance. Thomas is having his sixth appearance this week and he could make it a winning one.
In the three majors held in 2020, Thomas finished fourth, T8 and T37. He has been close to adding his second major to his record and punters should be confident of his game at Augusta.
$11 is well worth taking and we would be surprised if he wasn’t figuring in the finish on Monday.
Bet: Justin Thomas @ $11
2021 Masters Best Value – Daniel Berger
The American is a value play this week and he could even win a major in the next few years.
Berger is already a winner this season on the PGA Tour and there isn’t much that worries him. He is as steady as they come and he’s good enough to compete with the best.
He recorded a top 10 finish at The Players last month behind Justin Thomas and that is always a good form guide for The Masters.
The 2021 Pebble Beach Pro-Am winner won’t be at the top of many punters’ lists this week, but he shouldn’t be overlooked. Take the $31 and cover your bets with top 10 and top 20 options.
Bet: Daniel Berger @ $31
2021 Masters First Round Leader – Sergio Garcia
The Spanish superstar is more than capable of getting off to a fast start at Augusta. It’s what he did when winning in 2017 and his form this season has been steady.
Garcia has been around the top of the leaderboard in 2021, including a top 10 finish at The Players. He tied with Daniel Berger and Sergio has experience playing well at Augusta.
The first-round leader is often sitting around –6, which is well within the reach of Sergio Garcia with perfect conditions expected. He can throw darts when he’s on his game, so expect a deep opening round.
Bet: Sergio Garcia @ $36
The Masters Top Australian Player – Matt Jones
Even though the Top Australian market includes former winner Adam Scott, Jason Day and Cameron Smith, we have gone with Matt Jones.
He has played terrific golf this season, which included a win at The Honda Classic. It was his most recent tournament and he won by a record five strokes.
Jones now has his confidence up and he is more than capable of beating his fellow Australians. He is a more mature golfer now and although yet to fire at Augusta, he could turn that all around.
$8.50 in a group of five players is good shopping.
Bet: Matt Jones @ $8.50
The Masters Top Lefty – Brian Harman
Brian Harman is playing the best golf of any left-handed player in the tournament and he demands respect.
He might not hit the longest ball, especially compared to Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson, but Harman is the more accurate player.
Mickelson and Watson are out of form and Harman has confidence after some positive results. We think he’s the value option and he could push for a top-10 spot this year.
Bet: Brian Harman @ $3.25
