We have expert betting tips for the 2020 The Memorial, which is one of the biggest PGA Tour events on the calendar.

The best golfers on the planet tee up at Muirfield and punters are excited to see the return of Tiger Woods.

It’s all to play for and we look at the best betting options for The Memorial this week.

The Memorial Preview

The Memorial Best Bet – Bryson DeChambeau @ $11

Bryson DeChambeau is playing the best golf of any player in the world right now, so we’re following him in.

The American is coming off a win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic where he shot –23 and that would be a winning score around Muirfield this week.

He has transformed his game to a new level and his competitors have a job to catch up. There is no real reason to not back DeChambeau this week. The course is there for the taking and his length takes out most of the danger.

The $11 is shorter than we would have expected, but we’re happy to take it. He is the current favourite and if he scores well in the first round, expect those odds to firm drastically.

The Memorial Best Value – Tony Finau @ $67

It is about time Tony Finau got back into contention and after playing well in a charity event on Thursday, it could be his time to strike.

The easy-going golfer hasn’t been playing his best this season, but he has been managing his work load and he should come into this tournament fresh.

We didn’t think he would be paying such big odds, so take the value and hope Finau turns up with something close to his best.

For safety, take Finau in the Top 5 and Top 10 markets. He represents value across the board and punters could cash in.

The Memorial Top Australian – Jason Day @ $2.50

Jason Day and Marc Leishman are joint favourites for this market and we’re leaning towards Jason Day winning this group.

He is slowly getting back to his best form, despite battling injuries, and he could make a play for the tournament win this week.

Day is far off getting back to his best form, which saw him firmly inside the top five golfers in the world. He has experience in big tournaments and under immense pressure, so we’re confident of his chances.

The other golfers in this market are Leishman, Cameron Smith, and Jason Scrivener, whom he should have covered.

The Memorial Top 10 Betting Predictions

Apart from Bryson DeChambeau ($2.10) and Tony Finau ($6), we have three more Top 10 selections for The Memorial.

We can’t leave Tiger Woods out of selections and he plays well at The Memorial. Woods is making his long-awaited return to golf following an injury layoff and although he’s vulnerable, punters are getting value.

Woods is a $3.50 chance to make the Top 10 and given his ability to finish inside the top 10, the value is worth taking.

We had Viktor Hovland to win the Workday Open last week at big odds and he did us proud. He finished third and was in the thick of the action on the final day.

Hovland will be winning on the Tour this season and he is progressively improving. The $3.40 odds to finish in the Top 10 this week is good value and the Scandinavian star could get the job done.

Our final Top 10 play is a roughie, but he is worth a chance. Kevin Kisner isn’t the most exciting golfer in the world and his expression rarely changes, but we can’t pass up the $8 odds.

He has been playing solidly since golf resumed and he could make a play for the win.
