We have expert betting tips for the 2022 St Jude Championship, which is the first tournament of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup playoffs.
All the best players in the world embark on TPC Southwind, including Open Championship winner and Australian Cameron Smith. He’s one of many top-level golfers in the field, including Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.
We look at the best picks for the 2022 St Jude Championship.
St Jude Championship Golf Predictions

2022 St Jude Championship Best Bet – Cameron Smith
Smith hasn’t played since winning The Open Championship, so his confidence levels should be high and we’re taking the value odds available.
It has been a fantastic year for the young Australian, who also won The Players Championship at Sawgrass earlier in the year.
There is no knocking the confidence of Smith, who is on the third line of betting at $17 and he’s good enough to beat tournament favourite Rory McIlroy, because he’s done it on multiple occasions.
We’re putting some respect on his name and we expect Smith to be fighting out the finish on Monday morning.
Bet: Cameron Smith @ $17

2022 St Jude Championship Best Value – Jon Rahm
Jon Rahm has been forgotten about in betting markets at $21 and he’s well worth including in selections.
The Spaniard won the Mexico Open this year, and although he hasn’t performed up to his highest level, he’s preparing nicely for a tilt at the FedEx Cup playoffs.
He recorded a couple of good finishes in the majors and anything close to that form should be good enough to be competitive in the St Jude Classic.
Bet: Jon Rahm @ $21

2022 St Jude Championship Long Shot – Cameron Young
One of the most consistent golfers on the PGA Tour this year has been Cameron Young and he’s nearing in on a win.
The American has produced numerous top five finishes in some of the biggest events of the year, including majors, so he has class on his side.
Much like Will Zalatoris, he’s getting close to a win and we don’t want to back against him in the St Jude Championship. He’s too red-hot to overlook and punters get fantastic odds with bookmakers to snap up.
Take the $29 as an excellent saver bet.
Bet: Cameron Young @ $29

St Jude Championship Leader After Round 1 – Rory McIlroy
Rory McIlroy is always a good first round leader bet, especially recently.
The Northern Irishman has been getting off to fast starts and not playing well on the weekend, so he should be on your first-round leader ticket.
McIlroy has been shooting around –7 in his opening rounds, so if he’s anywhere near that at TPC Southwind, he should have the overnight lead.
Punters get excellent odds at $26 and the tournament favourite is worth backing.
Bet: Rory McIlroy @ $26

2022 St Jude Championship Top Australian – Cameron Smith
We have already said why Cam Smith is an excellent St Jude Championship bet and he’s at even better value in the top Australian market.
He is the $2.30 favourite to beat the likes of Cameron Davis, Adam Scott, and Jason Day. He has the clear class edge over his Australian rivals and he should put many strokes on them.
Bet: Cameron Smith @ $2.30
