The next stop on the PGA Tour is the Rocket Mortgage Classic. The world’s best golfers tee it up for another 72 holes and it is another quality field.

Dustin Johnson got back on the winners’ list last week at the Travelers Championship, but he is having a rest this week.

Heading the betting is cult hero Bryson DeChambeau, who is the only golfer quoted at single figure odds.

We have expert betting predictions for the 2020 Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Rocket Mortgage Classic Preview

Rocket Mortgage Classic Best Bet – Bryson DeChambeau @ $7

Since golf resumed, Bryson DeChambeau has been the most under par of any other golfer. He has yet to win, but his consistency has been great and he is getting close to success.

Bryson’s body transformation has been a big talking point this season and it has translated into good things off the tee. He is now the biggest hitting player on the Tour, which is some feat.

A mix of a crazy carb diet and intense gym work, DeChambeau has completed transformed his game. He is no longer the boring player that takes ages to play; he is now the must-see golfer.

The $7 is on the shorter side of value, but he will give punters a good sight in the tournament and he is the form player.

Rocket Mortgage Classic Best Value – Hideki Matsuyama @ $17

The Japanese pro hasn’t been posting results that he will be happy with, but he hasn’t had the most luck either.

Matsuyama was leading The Players Championship after one round before it was cancelled due to COVID-19. It was unlucky because he went extremely deep in that opening round.

Anything similar to that form would take him close in the Rocket Mortgage Classic and there is good confidence with bookmakers.

He has the ability to start well in a tournament and shoot consistent scores from then on. If he’s in the top 10 come Saturday, expect Matsuyama to be a value pick come the weekend.

Travelers Championship Top Australian – Jason Day @ $2.25

You have to feel sorry for Jason Day. He has the talent to be one of the best players in the world but his body gives up on him.

When healthy, Day would be one of the favourites to win this tournament, but we’re still backing him to be the best Australian.

He only has the likes of Matt Jones, Cameron Davis, and Cameron Percy to beat. The others in the category aren’t playing well enough to worry someone like Jason Day.

There is value with the $2.25 price and he shouldn’t be far off the leaders come Monday morning.

Rocket Mortgage Classic Top 10 Betting Predictions

There are many value chances in the top 10 market and leading the charge is Webb Simpson. He is coming off a win at the RBC Heritage and he is one of the best golfers in the world.

He doesn’t do much wrong throughout the tournament and although he’s not an exciting player, that won’t matter much to punters.

Anything above $2 was always going to be a good price, so the $2.40 at Sportsbet.com.au is terrific value for an in-form player.

Another form player is Tyrrell Hatton, who lost out to Webb Simpson in the RBC Heritage. He comes into this tournament fresh and ready to fire.

The feisty brit is in career-best form and he is paying $2.88 to finish in the top 10. He is also a chance to win the tournament at better odds, but take the value and a little more security with this bet.

An interesting player well-backed in the top 10 market is Doc Redman. He is coming off an 11th-place finish at the Travelers and his form since lockdown ended has been strong.

He won’t be the name on everyone’s lips, but Redman has been well-favoured at odds of $4.33 and he is on the same line as Rickie Fowler. That is a sign of confidence in the up-and-coming golfer.
