Normality of sorts was restored at the Japanese Grand Prix last time out, with Max Verstappen returning to the top of the podium, leaving the rest of the grid trailing in his wake.
The Dutchman is on the cusp of securing his 3rd consecutive Driver’s title, but he will need to warn against complacency here in Qatar.
McLaren have been in the hunt in recent weeks, with Lando Norris in particular finding form, whilst Red Bull’s other driver Sergio Perez should be forcing his way into the mix this weekend too, at the Losail Circuit.

F1 Qatar Grand Prix Race Winner
In race eighteen of the 2023 Formula One season, all of the biggest names on the grid will be battling for supremacy here in Qatar:
Max Verstappen – $1.25
Japan was a real return to form for Red Bull and Max Verstappen, with the Dutchman obliterating the field, with his customary swashbuckling style.
Conditions here in Qatar should be relatively similar for Verstappen, who is a driver who enjoys the battle in every race he finds himself in and whilst there will be plenty of big names chasing him, Verstappen is the hot favourite to pick up another solid race win here.
Sergio Perez – $15
Whilst Verstappen has of course made all of the headlines during the 2023 season, Sergio Perez has been slowly performing under the radar.
Despite perhaps not picking up as many race wins as he would have liked, Perez has displayed plenty of skills that Red Bull’s kingmakers have appreciated and his status within the team is at an all-time high.
The Mexican should go well here in Qatar and will be hunting down Verstappen.
Lando Norris – $15
The lack of race win is a big question mark in the box for Lando Norris, but he has achieved everything else for McLaren this season and he looks to be ready to mount a serious challenge to Red Bull next term.
All of these races are enabling Norris and his team to become more familiar with the speedy McLaren car and how he would love to open his account here in Qatar, at the Losail Circuit.
Lewis Hamilton – $21
Having won this race back in 2021, Lewis Hamilton is the only driver to have won at Qatar previously and how he would love to bottle up some of that here in 2023.
Conditions are sure to suit Hamilton, who will enjoy the pacy nature of the rack and he and his Mercedes team could seriously do with the confidence boost that would come with a race win.

F1 Qatar Grand Prix Top Six Finish
Race 18 of the season here in Qatar presents an opportunity for every driver to keep putting points on the board:
Charles Leclerc – $1.50
Ferrari have fought their way into a little streak of form of late and they will believe that Charles Leclerc can finish the campaign strongly, with an eye on 2024.
Confidence looks to be relatively low for Leclerc, who hasn’t been able to string any sort of consistency together, but conditions should be to his liking here in Qatar.
George Russell – $1.53
Picking up top 6 finishes remains the principle aim for George Russell, who is still establishing himself within the complex framework at Mercedes.
Points are ultimately what the decision makers at Mercedes want Russell to be dealing in and he will feel he has a decent shot of at least cracking the top 6 here in Qatar.
Carlos Sainz – $1.60
Winning the Singapore Grand Prix was a real mark in the sand for Carlos Sainz, who is continually developing behind the wheel for Ferrari.
His partnership with Charles Leclerc looks to be key for the long term future of the Italian team and he will be looking to continue his good run of form and put some more points on the board here in Qatar.
