NFL Week 8 Picks
Green Bay Packers vs Arizona Cardinals @ State Farm Arena
The Cardinals are the only undefeated team in the NFL, but they have a tough test to kick off NFL Week 8.
They face the 6-1 Packers, and Aaron Rodgers is a man on a mission. However, we’re going with the Cardinals at –6.5. Kyler Murray is playing terrifically with 17 touchdowns, and the Cards are the better overall team.
Take the current line before it moves.
Betting tip: Arizona Cardinals –6.5
Cardinals by 7
Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons @ Mercedes-Benz Stadium
The Panthers lost poorly to the Giants last week, and it was a road block on their way to the playoffs.
They now must recoup to take on the Falcons, who survived against the Miami Dolphins 30-28 last week.
We don’t have much confidence in either team, but take the Falcons in a close contest.
Betting tip: Atlanta Falcons -3
Falcons by 4
Miami Dolphins vs Buffalo Bills @ Highmark Stadium
The Dolphins are in disarray and we can’t see them beating the Bills. Josh Allen and the Bills offence should have too many weapons for the Dolphins, and covering the spread shouldn’t be hard.
Not only does Buffalo boast a quality offence, but it’s defence is improving. The Bills are 4-2, and they have their sights set on a deep playoff run this season, so Miami shouldn’t get in the way.
Betting tip: Buffalo Bills –13.5
Bills by 17
San Francisco 49ers vs Chicago Bears @ Soldier Field
The 49ers had to endure torrential rain last week, and despite the loss, we saw some positive signs.
We believe they are a better team than Chicago, and despite Jimmy Garoppolo having only six touchdowns, he could have a break out game on Monday.
They’re not an easy team to back, but take the 49ers at a value line.
Betting tip: San Francisco 49ers –3.5
49ers by 7
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns @ FirstEnergy Stadium
It’s always a good battle between the Steelers and Browns, but we’re giving the slight edge to the home side.
Cleveland played well without Baker Mayfield last week, and they have had over a week to prepare for this game.
They are also 3-1 at home, and we don’t fully trust the Steelers on the road. The line is 3.5, but for insurance, take the Browns moneyline.
Betting tip: Cleveland Browns
Browns by 3
Philadelphia Eagles vs Detroit Lions @ Ford Field
Punters got sucked into the Eagles again last week, but the 2-5 team continues to disappoint. However, facing the Lions has its benefits.
The Lions have lost a few games narrowly, but they were outgunned last week. They have yet to win, and although the Eagles are bad, the Lions are much worse.
The 3.5 line is generous for Eagles backers.
Betting tip: Philadelphia Eagles –3.5
Eagles by 7
Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts @ Lucas Oil Stadium
The Colts survived the rain when beating the 49ers last week, but we were more impressed with Tennessee’s win over Kansas City.
They limited the Chiefs to just three points, which is incredible. Despite playing on the road, we’re backing Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill to get the job done.
$1.79 for the Titans in head-to-head markets is worth snapping up.
Betting tip: Tennessee Titans
Titans by 6
Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Jets @ MetLife Stadium
The Jets are 1-5 and now their quarterback is injured, so it doesn’t get much worse.
Cincinnati comes off a big win, and the Bengals should have no problems handling the Jets with ease.
The current line is –10 and that shouldn’t be enough for the Jets to cover. The Bengals are easily 17 points better, especially with Joe Burrow in form.
Betting tip: Cincinnati Bengals -10
Bengals by 17
Los Angeles Rams vs Houston Texans @ NRG Stadium
One of the worst teams in the NFL are the Houston Texans, so we’re going with the Rams to secure an easy victory.
With a perfect 3-0 record on the road, the Rams are a safe bet, but the 14.5 line with bookmakers won’t be so easy to cover.
It all depends on the first quarter, but if the Rams get off to a good start, it will snowball for the Texans.
Betting tip: Los Angeles Rams –17.5
Rams by 22
New England Patriots vs Los Angeles Chargers @ SoFi Stadium
We’re expecting a thrilling game between two of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL.
Mac Jones was impressive last week for the Patriots, but with the bye week under their belts, the Chargers could bounce back.
The Chargers have the benefit of playing at home, and we think they can kick back and score an important victory.
Betting tip: Los Angeles Chargers –5.5
Chargers by 7
Jacksonville Jaguars vs Seattle Seahawks @ Lumen Field
Seattle is a tough position and not having Russell Wilson is hurting their chances of success. They were beaten by the Saints on Tuesday, but they didn’t play too poorly.
Jacksonville scored its only win in London, and although the only way is up, we don’t like their chances of beating Seattle.
Punters get a fair moneyline price, so it’s worth taking.
Betting tip: Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks by 7
Washington Football Team vs Denver Broncos @ Empower Field
Denver started its season with three consecutive wins, but it has been slim pickings since. They lost to the Browns last week, which wasn’t a good showing.
Washington hasn’t been any better, and the 2-5 team is in danger of falling further behind.
It should be a close game, but the Broncos have more upside at home.
Betting tip: Denver Broncos –3
Broncos by 6
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints @ Caesars Superdome
Tampa Bay and Tom Brady continue to win games and we don’t think their winning run comes to an end on Monday.
The Saints have done well to post a 4-2 record, but we haven’t been impressed with their play. With this game being in the Superdome, that will give Brady every chance to light up the Saints defence.
Five points might not be enough for the Saints.
Betting tip: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -5
Buccaneers by 12
Dallas Cowboys vs Minnesota Vikings @ U.S. Bank Stadium
Both teams come off a bye, and although the Vikings are tough to beat at home, the momentum is with the Cowboys.
Dallas is 5-1 and has looked strong throughout the season, particularly Dak Prescott, who has emerged as a premier quarterback.
Bookmakers expect a close game, but the Cowboys should cover the spread.
Betting tip: Dallas Cowboys –2.5
Cowboys by 7
New York Giants vs Kansas City Chiefs @ GEHA Field
The Chiefs come off their worst performance in years against the Titans, and that could be bad news for the Giants.
We don’t expect the Chiefs to be that bad two weeks in a row, and with the division title slipping away, they need to start winning games.
New York isn’t on the same level, so expect an easy home victory.
Betting tip: Kansas City Chiefs -10
Chiefs by 14
