NFL Week 5 Predictions

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Buffalo Bills @ Tottenham Stadium

There is always good public betting support for the Jaguars, but we’re picking the Bills to win in London.

They are the better team at 3-1, and they have the much better quarterback in Josh Allen, who hasn’t hit his stride yet.

That’s a bad thing for the Jags.

Betting tip: Bills –5.5 @ $1.90

Bills by 7

Houston Texans vs Atlanta Falcons @ Mercedes-Benz Stadium

The Texans have surprised most after going 2-2, which is the same record as the Falcons.

We rated the Falcons with pre-season markets, but they have been disappointing on the road. However, they are 2-0 at home, and we expect that to improve to 3-0.

Punters get good value for the Falcons in this situation.

Betting tip: Falcons –1.5 @ $1.90

Falcons by 7

Carolina Panthers vs Detroit Lions @ Ford Field

It looks like the Lions finally have a team good enough to make the playoffs, so they should account for the lowly Panthers.

The Panthers have yet to win a game this season, and given their form, we don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Take Detroit to cover the double-digit spread.

Betting tip: Lions -10 @ $1.90

Lions by 14

Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts @ Lucas Oil Stadium

The Titans have yet to win on the road and the Colts have yet to win at home, so it’s an important game.

Tennessee was the more impressive team last week, so we’re prepared to back it to win in what should be a close game.

Bookmakers have the Titans at –2, so they have been best-backed to score.

Betting tip: Titans -2 @ $1.90

Titans by 6

New York Giants vs Miami Dolphins @ Hard Rock Stadium

After setting records two weeks ago, the Dolphins didn’t follow it up on the road last week.

However, we expect them to bounce back against the struggling Giants, who have lost their winning culture.

Tua Tagovailoa has looked great for Miami, so take them to win easily.

Betting tip: Dolphins -12 @ $1.90

Dolphins by 17

New Orleans Saints vs New England Patriots @ Gillette Stadium

There isn’t much between the Saints and Patriots with betting markets, but we give the edge to the Patriots.

They have been disappointing so far, but coach Bill Belichick won’t see his team fall to 1-4. We just can’t see that happening at Foxborough.

Take the –1 line as it could move.

Betting tip: Patriots -1 @ $1.90

Patriots by 7

Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers @ Acrisure Stadium

It’s always a good battle between the NFL rivals, and we’re picking the Ravens to enter enemy territory and win.

They are 3-1 and 2-0 on the road, so the Ravens have made a positive start to the season. Pittsburgh is 2-2, so it’s not far off either.

It could come down to the final play but take the Ravens to cover.

Betting tip: Ravens -4 @ $1.90

Ravens by 7

Philadelphia Eagles vs Los Angeles Rams @ SoFi Stadium

We are prepared to back the Eagles for most of the season, and they haven’t done much wrong so far.

They are 4-0, and although the Rams have looked good at times, we believe the Eagles are the much better team.

Last year’s Super Bowl finalists should be too good here.

Betting tip: Eagles –4.5 @ $1.90

Eagles by 7

Cincinnati Bengals vs Arizona Cardinals @ State Farm Arena

Nothing is going right for either team, and if the Bengals are serious about the playoffs, they need to beat Arizona.

The Cardinals scored an upset win over the Cowboys, but they haven’t done much else, so the Bengals have the edge.

Expect Joe Burrow to have a breakout performance.

Betting tip: Bengals –3 @ $1.90

Bengals by 10

New York Jets vs Denver Broncos @ Empower Field

The Broncos dug deep to score their first win of the season against Chicago, so momentum is in their favour.

The Jets have a good defence, but losing Aaron Rodgers in the opening minutes of the year was a tragic loss, and Zach Wilson isn’t good enough.

Take the home side to get it done.

Betting tip: Broncos -2 @ $1.90

Broncos by 3

Kansas City Chiefs vs Minnesota Vikings @ U.S. Bank Stadium

The Vikings always get up for this game, and although they have been average so far, we’re taking them to keep it close.

Kirk Cousins has 11 touchdowns and four interceptions, and if they can win close games instead of losing them, their record would be much better.

An upset is lurking.

Betting tip: Vikings +4 @ $1.90

Vikings by 3

Dallas Cowboys vs San Francisco 49ers @ Levi’s Stadium

It’s always hard to trust the Cowboys, so we’re going with the 49ers to hold down the fort at home.

They have been impressive so far, and a Super Bowl appearance could be on the cards this season.

Bookmakers have the line at –4, which is a generous offering. We think the 49ers are at least a touchdown better than Dallas.

Betting tip: 49ers –4 @ $1.90

49ers by 7

Green Bay Packers vs Las Vegas Raiders @ Allegiant Stadium

The Packers have done well to be 2-2, but there were some concerning signs with their QB last week.

Jordan Love was out of sorts, and the Raiders aren’t exactly a classy team, we think they win at home on Tuesday.

Getting +1 is a fair line, so take the value.

Betting tip: Raiders +1 @ $1.90

Raiders by 3
