NFL Week 4 Picks
Jacksonville Jaguars vs Cincinnati Bengals @ Paul Brown Stadium
The Bengals are the real deal after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. Joe Burrow is back to his best, and they should be too good on Friday.
Jacksonville is in an 0-3 hole and its quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, has been awful. The rookie isn’t having a good time of it, so we think the Jaguars could struggle to keep up.
Take the Bengals –7.5 to open Week 4.
Betting tip: Cincinnati Bengals –7.5
Bengals by 10
Washington Football Team vs Atlanta Falcons @ Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Atlanta turned its form around to beat the Giants last week, but consistency hasn’t been a feature of this team.
Washington is 1-2, so its record is the same as Atlanta, but we think the Washington Football Team has more promise in 2021.
Playing on the road isn’t easy, but the $1.79 for Washington is good shopping.
Betting tip: Washington Football Team
Washington by 7
Houston Texans vs Buffalo Bills @ Highmark Stadium
Buffalo got back to its best form with an easy win last week, and we’re expecting an even bigger result against Houston.
The Texans struggled without their top two quarterbacks, which doesn’t bode well for their future.
Josh Allen should have a field day to set up a big win for the home side.
Betting tip: Buffalo Bills – 16.5
Bills by 22
Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears @ Soldier Field
When things are going bad, they go bad. The Detroit Lions suffered a tough beat when Baltimore kicked a 66-yard field goal to win on Monday.
It was tough to stomach for Lions’ backers, but an all too familiar situation. They should take confidence from the way they played, especially against a struggling Chicago outfit.
Not much is going right for the Bears at the quarterback position, which could trickle down to this week. The Bears are ripe for an upset.
Betting tip: Detroit Lions +3
Lions by 4
Carolina Panthers vs Dallas Cowboys @ AT&T Stadium
It could be the game of the round as the 2-1 Cowboys face the unbeaten Carolina Panthers.
Dallas looked good against Philadelphia in Week 3, and Dak Prescott continues his fine form at quarterback. Sam Darnold is also playing well for Carolina, but he could be without Christian McCaffery.
The star running back got a hamstring injury last week, so we’re going with the home team in this situation.
Betting tip: Dallas Cowboys –4.5
Cowboys by 7
Indianapolis Colts vs Miami Dolphins @ Hard Rock Stadium
The Colts are languishing at 0-3 and we don’t have high hopes for them to get out of the hole.
Carson Wentz is again having problems, so there’s not a lot of confidence in the Colts camp at present.
The same goes for Miami, but there is at least a light at the end of the tunnel. The quarterback position might be up in the air, but the Dolphins have a solid unit.
Take the home side as a slight favourite.
Betting tip: Miami Dolphins
Dolphins by 6
Cleveland Browns vs Minnesota Vikings @ U.S. Bank Stadium
We liked the Vikings to beat Seattle last week and we like them to beat Cleveland on Monday.
The Browns have looked impressive at times, but beating the Vikings in Minnesota isn’t easy with a confident Kirk Cousins at the helm.
The value is with the Vikings once again, so are paying $2.10.
Betting tip: Minnesota Vikings
Vikings by 7
New York Giants vs New Orleans Saints @ Caesars Superdome
Punters never know what to expect from the Saints, which was the case when beating the Patriots last week.
Consistency is never there, so they are hard to bet with confidence. However, they should have no problems beating the Giants.
It looks like another poor season for the Giants, who have yet to win and that’s unlikely to change in Week 4.
Betting tip: New Orleans Saints –7.5
Saints by 11
Tennessee Titans vs New York Jets @ MetLife Stadium
We love what the Titans are bringing to the table, and they should roll through the Jets.
Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry are tearing up the defence, and given how poorly the Jets are playing, this should be a one-sided game.
Bookmakers have the line at 7.5, which might not be enough for the Jets to cover. Take the Titans to score a comfortable victory.
Betting tip: Tennessee Titans –7.5
Titans by 12
Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles @ Lincoln Financial Field
The Eagles showed very little on defence against the Cowboys, so we don’t hold out much hope against the Chiefs.
Kansas City will be eyeing this is a must-win game after slipping to 1-2 in a competitive division. Scoring wins over the Eagles are needed to prop up their overall record.
There is 7.5 points between them in betting markets, but we’re confident the Chiefs will win by double digits.
Betting tip: Kansas City Chiefs –7.5
Chiefs by 14
Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams @ SoFi Stadium
Two high-powered and unbeaten teams battle, and we’re giving the edge to the Rams based on their defence.
The Rams come off a tough win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and there is little wrong with that form.
Arizona has also looked good, but playing on the road could be difficult and punters get a good line with the Rams.
Betting tip: Los Angeles Rams –4.5
Rams by 7
Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers @ Levi’s Stadium
The 49ers were exposed against the Green Bay Packers last week, but they still almost stole the game late.
It was a tough effort, but we think the Seahawks are likely to bounce back from their defeat to the Minnesota Vikings.
We thought the Seahawks would be favoured to win, so we’re happy with the $2.30 available in head-to-head markets.
Betting tip: Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks by 6
Baltimore Ravens vs Denver Broncos @ Empower Field
Denver has been the surprise package of 2021 after going 3-0. We think it can handle the Ravens, who needed a huge field goal just to beat the Lions.
Teddy Bridgewater has found new life with the Broncos, so we think that confidence will spill over to this week.
The Broncos defence is good enough to contain the dual-threat play of Lamar Jackson.
Betting tip: Denver Broncos
Broncos by 10
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Green Bay Packers @ Lambeau Field
We were impressed with the Green Bay Packers last week and we think they can extend their winning streak to three.
Pittsburgh showed nothing against the Cincinnati Bengals, which have people talking about Ben Ben’s retirement.
Given the confidence levels of the Packers, we expect them to win comfortably.
Betting tip: Green Bay Packers -7
Packers by 10
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New England Patriots @ Gillette Stadium
Tampa Bay didn’t play up to its usual level against the Rams last week, but it’s good enough to beat the Patriots.
Tom Brady returns to New England to face a rookie quarterback, and he has the significant class edge.
We didn’t see much from Mac Jones and the Patriots last week, so it’s tough to bet on them with any confidence against the Super Bowl champs.
Betting tip: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -7
Buccaneers by 10
Las Vegas Raiders vs Los Angeles Chargers @ SoFi Stadium
The Raiders have looked like one of the best teams in the NFL after starting 3-0. Derek Carr has the most yardage of any quarterback, so his confidence is up.
Los Angeles comes off a stunning win over the Kansas City Chiefs last week, so its confidence is through the roof. It has been enough to see bookmakers install them as favourites.
It should be a close game, but we’re going with the Chargers in a close one.
Betting tip: Los Angeles Chargers
Chargers by 3
