We have expert betting predictions for Week 3 of the 2021 NFL season, which starts on Thursday with the Carolina Panthers vs Houston Texans.

There are 16 games every week for punters to enjoy, so the betting opportunities are endless. We preview every game for all 18 weeks of the regular season and the playoffs.

NFL Week 3 Picks

Carolina Panthers vs Houston Texans @ NRG Stadium

Carolina has made a terrific start to the season at 2-0 after giving the New Orleans Saints a touch up last week.

Houston has also done well to go 1-1, but the loss at Cleveland came at a cost. Tyrod Taylor is out for at least four weeks, and the Texans aren’t putting Deshaun Watson on the field.

The Panthers should have the edge with the Texans third string quarterback on the field.

Betting tip: Carolina Panthers –7.5

Panthers by 10

Washington Football Team vs Buffalo Bills @ Highmark Stadium

Buffalo got on the board with a comprehensive win last week, and we think its winning form will continue.

The Bills are one of the most explosive offensive teams in the NFL, so Washington could struggle to keep up.

Most of the money has come for the Bills, which isn’t surprising.

Betting tip: Buffalo Bills –7.5

Bills by 12

Chicago Bears vs Cleveland Browns @ FirstEnergy Stadium

Cleveland enjoyed playing at home last week, and although only fair against the Texans, they scored 31 points.

It was a good offensive effort from the Browns, who look to have the edge over the Bears. Chicago defeated Cincinnati last week, which mostly came down to their defence.

It will need another strong defensive effort to keep this close, but Cleveland should be too good.

Betting tip: Cleveland Browns –7.5

Browns by 10

Baltimore Ravens vs Detroit Lions @ Ford Field

Baltimore had to dig deep to get past the Kansas City Chiefs last week, but the win will give it plenty of confidence.

Detroit looked poor against the Green Bay Packers, and quarterback Jared Goff was costly in the second half after coming up with mistake after mistake.

The Ravens have the clear class edge in this game and we’re surprised the line isn’t touching double figures.

Betting tip: Baltimore Ravens –7.5

Ravens by 14

Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans @ Nissan Stadium

We loved what we saw from the Titans last week when coming from behind to beat the Seattle Seahawks in overtime.

It was a must-win situation for the Titans, who didn’t want to fall to 0-2. That’s where the Colts find themselves, and they are struggling to gel.

We think the Titans will be too good, especially if running back Derrick Henry continues his stellar form.

Betting tip: Tennessee Titans –5.5

Titans by 7

Los Angeles Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs @ GEHA Field

The Chiefs had their chance to beat Baltimore last week, but a costly fumble ended their hopes of remaining perfect.

We think that loss could have a residual effect against the Chargers, who were unlucky against the Dallas Cowboys. They also had a chance to win, but came up short when Dallas kicked a 50+ yard field goal on full time.

Our primary worry is with the Chiefs defence, which was poor. The Chargers could capitalise.

Betting tip: Los Angeles Chargers +6.5

Chiefs by 3

New Orleans Saints vs New England Patriots @ Gillette Stadium

We like what we’re seeing from rookie quarterback Mac Jones and the New England Patriots. They handled the Jets easily last week, which should give them confidence.

New Orleans were fantastic in Week 1, but Jameis Winston reverted to his old ways last week. We can’t put our money on a player so enigmatic.

Take the Patriots to score their first home win.

Betting tip: New England Patriots

Patriots by 7

Atlanta Falcons vs New York Giants @ MetLife Stadium

Either the Falcons or Giants will win their first game of the season and we’re picking the Giants.

Atlanta showed some ability to score against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, but they have little to no defence. It’s a concern, and one the Giants could take advantage of.

Expect Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley to tear through the Falcons flimsy defence.

Betting tip: New York Giants -3

Giants by 6

Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers @ Heinz Field

Pittsburgh suffered a shock loss last week, but it could get back on the horse against the Bengals.

Cincinnati looked to have a chance against the Chicago Bears, but Joe Burrow wasn’t as electric as he has shown in the past.

The Steelers couldn’t handle Derek Carr and the Raiders, but we’re expecting a much better performance in Week 3.

Betting tip: Pittsburgh Steelers –3

Steelers by 7

Arizona Cardinals vs Jacksonville Jaguars @ TIAA Bank Field

Jacksonville has struggled to date, and although it’s playing the 2-0 Cardinals, we think they could score an upset.

Top NFL draft pick Trevor Lawrence has had an awful start, but he’s a quality player who only needs a few games under his belt.

Arizona isn’t as good on the road, so we’re happy to take the 7.5 points with home field advantage.

Betting tip: Jacksonville Jaguars +7.5

Jaguars by 3

New York Jets vs Denver Broncos @ Empower Field

We have been impressed with Denver’s 2-0 start, and we expect the Broncos to go 3-0 against the hapless Jets.

Zach Wilson hasn’t made a good start to his NFL career after throwing four intercepts last week. We questioned his ability out of the draft, so the Broncos could add more pain.

Covering a 10.5-point spread isn’t easy, but the Broncos could be on another level.

Betting tip: Denver Broncos –10.5

Broncos by 14

Miami Dolphins vs Las Vegas Raiders @ Allegiant Stadium

Miami will be without its starting quarterback against the Raiders, which won’t help its situation.

The Raiders have looked like one of the better NFL teams this season after going into Pittsburgh and beating the Steelers.

They followed up on Week 1 win over Baltimore, so the form checks out.

Betting tip: Las Vegas Raiders –3.5

Raiders by 10

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Los Angeles Rams @ SoFi Stadium

There has been good betting support for the unbeaten Rams, but we don’t think Matthew Stafford has the power to overcome Tom Brady.

The Buccaneers have picked up where they left off last season, and despite playing on the road, we think they’re a great value bet.

Take the $1.80 for the best team in football.

Betting tip: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Buccaneers by 7

Seattle Seahawks vs Minnesota Vikings @ U.S. Bank Stadium

Seattle had its chances to beat Tennessee last week, but they failed to take them.

Russell Wilson was awful in overtime, so that lack of confidence could have a negative effect against the Vikings on Monday.

Minnesota should have won last week, but they missed a late field goal to win. It was a tough loss, but we saw enough to suggest they can win as the home underdog.

Betting tip: Minnesota Vikings

Vikings by 6

Green Bay Packers vs San Francisco 49ers @ Levi’s Stadium

Green Bay might have beaten the Lions last week, but we weren’t impressed with what we saw.

They could struggle to beat the 49ers, especially on the road in different conditions. The 49ers are 2-0 and still improving, so they should be hard to handle.

Bookmakers have the odds at $1.52, which is a fair price.

Betting tip: San Francisco 49ers –3.5

49ers by 10

Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys @ AT&T Stadium

Dallas produced a great effort to win last week and we think that momentum could roll over to Week 3.

We were impressed with Dak Prescott, and although it wasn’t his best game, he commanded the offence nicely.

Philadelphia was poor against the 49ers and Jalen Hurts is too inconsistent to take our money.

Betting tip: Dallas Cowboys –3.5

Cowboys by 10
