NFL Week 3 Predictions, Tips & Betting Odds

We have expert betting predictions for Week 3 of the 2020/2021 NFL season, which starts this Friday with the Dolphins vs. Jaguars.

The quality of action has been high so far, and it’s expected to get better as the season progresses. We look at the form of every team taking the field this week.

NFL Week 3 Tips

Miami Dolphins vs. Jacksonville Jaguars @ TIAA Bank Field

The Jaguars did better than expected when losing only narrowly to the Tennessee Titans last week. It should hold them in good stead against this Miami team.

The Dolphins are 0-2 and they haven’t fired a shot. Playing on the road won’t help and punters are getting good value for the home side.

Betting tip: Jaguars to win

Jaguars by 10

Chicago Bears vs. Atlanta Falcons @ Mercedes-Benz Stadium

The Bears started the season going under the radar, but after a 2-0 start, they should be taken seriously.

Chicago has looked good, in particular their quarterback and receiving corp. It bodes well against a Falcons side that gave up a 20-point lead against Dallas last week.

It was yet another choke from this Falcons franchise, and it doesn’t bode well for the future.

Betting tip: Bears to win

Bears by 7

LA Rams vs. Buffalo Bills @ Bills Stadium

Two undefeated teams do battle in New York as the Rams come to town. They have looked like the 2018 version of themselves, which is good to see.

The Rams have beaten two quality teams, but they might need to improve to beat a confident Bills outfit on Monday.

Buffalo has ridden the quality play from QB Josh Allen, who is exceeding expectations. We expect the Bills to remain unbeaten at home.

Betting tip: Bills to win

Bills by 5

Washington vs. Cleveland Browns @ FirstEnergy Stadium

Baker Mayfield looked better last week compared to his dismal performance in Week 1. It could be enough to see the Browns go on a winning run.

Washington scored an incredible comeback win in Week 1 over Philadelphia, but they were kept in check last week.

This is a game Cleveland should win, so take the short odds.

Betting tip: Browns to win

Browns by 10

Tennessee Titans vs. Minnesota Vikings @ U.S. Bank Stadium

It hasn’t been a good start to the season for the Vikings, who are 0-2 and not much has gone right.

Looking to take advantage of Minnesota’s miscues are the Titans, who clawed to a victory against Jacksonville last week.

They are undefeated and looking like a team that could challenge for a playoff position this season. Stick with the Titans, despite playing on the road.

Betting tip: Titans to win

Titans by 12

Las Vegas Raiders vs. New England Patriots @ Gillette Stadium

Las Vegas scored a terrific win over the Saints on Tuesday and that win holds them in good stead for this season.

However, the Patriots are a tough team to beat and QB Cam Newton is getting better. He almost completed a comeback against the Seahawks last week, but it was a good effort in defeat.

A close game is expected but we are going with the Patriots at home.

Betting tip: Patriots to win

Patriots by 3

San Francisco 49ers vs. New York Giants @ MetLife Stadium

The 49ers have been hit with a massive injury toll, and it could effectively put an end to their title hopes.

They have lost influential players to injury, including Jimmy Garoppolo, who could be missing for a few games.

New York has also been dealt a blow with running back Saquon Barkley out for the season. It should make for an even game, but we give the slight edge to the 49ers.

Betting tip: 49ers to win

49ers by 6

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Philadelphia Eagles @ Lincoln Financial Field

The Bengals currently sit at 0-2, but they could easily have been 2-0. Not much has gone their way, but Joe Burrow looks like a rising star.

Philadelphia hasn’t looked any better and they are also seeking their first win of the season. A Week 1 loss against Washington didn’t get them off on the best foot.

Bookmakers are siding with the Eagles, but the Bengals could cover the spread.

Betting tip: Bengals +7

Bengals by 3

Houston Texans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers @ Heinz Field

The Steelers have won both games to date and although they looked shaky last week, they were too good.

They could give the Texans another loss, after they have started 0-2. Houston has a team that can compete with the best, but they aren’t consistent enough.

Pittsburgh should take this game comfortably.

Betting tip: Steelers to win

Steelers by 10

New York Jets vs. Indianapolis Colts @ Lucas Oil Stadium

The Jets have looked like one of the worst NFL teams in 2020 to date. They haven’t shown anything in two losses, and it could be a long season.

Phillip Rivers has been solid at the helm for the Colts, and the team will only continue to improve this season.

The Colts should have too much firepower for an understrength Jets outfit.

Betting tip: Colts –9.5

Colts by 17

Carolina Panthers vs. LA Chargers @ SoFi Stadium

We thought the Panthers would struggle this season and they haven’t proven us wrong to date. They are winless from two games, and that could be extended to three this week.

The Chargers got lucky to beat the Bengals in Week 1 before losing last week. However, they have more upside than the Panthers.

Bookmakers have the Chargers as firm favourites, and they should be too good.

Betting tip: Chargers to win

Chargers by 9

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Denver Broncos @ Empower Field

Denver needs something to happen this season, otherwise they will be quickly out of playoff contention.

It won’t be easy this week against Tom Brady and the Buccs, who got their first win of the season last week.

Beating a team with Tom Brady at the helm isn’t easy and they will get better as the season progresses, which is bad news for the home side.

Betting tip: Buccaneers to win

Buccaneers by 10

Detroit Lions vs. Arizona Cardinals @ State Farm Stadium

There was a lot of talk about the Lions before the season started, but it was misguided. They have yet to win a game and they didn’t come close last week.

On the other hand, Arizona has lived up to expectations with two wins. Kyler Murray is showing why he was the top draft pick and people have seemingly forgotten about him.

Arizona should remain unbeaten on Monday.

Betting tip: Cardinals to win

Cardinals by 7

Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks @ CenturyLink Field

The Cowboys completed an incredible comeback against Atlanta last week, but it gets much harder this week.

They take on the unbeaten Seattle Seahawks, who almost let a lead slip against the Patriots, but they held on gamely.

Seattle is a team we’re expecting to go a long way this season, so stick with them here.

Betting tip: Seahawks to win

Seahawks by 10

Green Bay Packers vs. New Orleans Saints @ Mercedes-Benz Superdome

The Saints haven’t started 2-0 since 2013, and that trend continued when they lost to Las Vegas last week.

They didn’t look good in defeat, and it provides the Packers a chance to stay unbeaten after three games.

The Packers have done well to be 2-0, with Aaron Rodgers already throwing for six touchdowns. If he continues in that form, the Packers could score an upset.

Betting tip: Packers to win

Packers by 6

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens @ M&T Bank Stadium

A mighty battle between two of the best teams takes place on Tuesday. The 2-0 Chiefs take on the 2-0 Ravens, in a battle of the QB’s.

The Chiefs mounted a comeback win over the Chargers last week, but they didn’t look overly impressive.

Baltimore has looked the better side and the market agrees, with the Ravens paying $1.50 in early markets. We are going with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens to take this one.

Betting tip: Ravens to win
