NFL Week 2 Predictions
—
New York Giants vs Washington Football Team @ FedEx Field
The Giants looked good early last week, but they didn’t do much in the second half against the Denver Broncos.
Washington was much the same against the Los Angeles Chargers, but it looked slightly better than the Giants, who struggle to score points.
Bookmakers have Washington as favourites and we agree.
Betting tip: Washington Football Team –3
Washington by 7
—
Cincinnati Bengals vs Chicago Bears @ Soldier Field
We’re surprised the Bears are favoured to win after losing their opening round game against the Los Angeles Rams. It wasn’t a bad performance, but we expected more from this team.
Cincinnati looked to have the win wrapped up easily last week, but had to survive overtime. Joe Burrow looked good, so we’re sticking with them here.
The $2.25 is a value price.
Betting tip: Cincinnati Bengals
Bengals by 7
—
Houston Texans vs Cleveland Browns @ FirstEnergy Stadium
The Texans were impressive last week, but they will likely to struggle against the Cleveland Browns on Monday.
Cleveland had a fantastic chance to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, but gave up the lead late in the game. It was a missed opportunity, but they should get back to 1-1 this week.
The 12.5 line is significant, but the Browns should run all over the Texans.
Betting tip: Cleveland Browns –12.5
Browns by 14
—
Los Angeles Rams vs Indianapolis Colts @ Lucas Oil Stadium
The Rams looked good with their new quarterback, and although facing the Colts at home isn’t easy, we’re in their corner.
Los Angeles got excellent production from Matthew Stafford, who not only enjoys throwing to better receivers, but the Rams defence is a big improvement.
The Colts looked average last week and we can’t see that form turning around.
Betting tip: Los Angeles Rams -4
Rams by 10
—
Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins @ Hard Rock Stadium
Buffalo was one of the big disappointments when losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, but a bounce back is expected.
They didn’t do enough late in the game and costly turnovers were enough to see the Steelers come away with the victory.
Miami did well to beat New England, but this game will be harder. We’re going with Josh Allen to rebound and get the job done.
Betting tip: Buffalo Bills
Bills by 3
—
New England Patriots vs New York Jets @ MetLife Stadium
The Patriots might have lost in the opening week, but we liked what we saw from Mac Jones. The rookie quarterback went for 281 yards, and the Jets defence is there for the taking.
Zach Wilson also looked good in his NFL debut for the Jets, but he doesn’t have many quality receivers to throw to.
Stick with the Patriots, who should rebound.
Betting tip: New England Patriots –5.5
Patriots by 8
—
San Francisco 49ers vs Philadelphia Eagles @ Lincoln Financial Field
Value is with the Eagles after their impressive Week One victory. We liked what we saw from Jalen Hurts who will enjoy playing in front of a home crowd.
The 49ers also looked good until allowing 16 points in the fourth quarter. They took their foot off the gas, which won’t bode well this time around.
Betting on a home underdog is a sound strategy.
Betting tip: Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles by 6
—
Los Vegas Raiders vs Pittsburgh Steelers @ Heinz Field
The Raiders scored an amazing win on Tuesday to beat the Baltimore Ravens, but we weren’t overly impressed with the performance.
Derek Carr still looks unsure in the pocket and the defence showed plenty of lapses when defending the running game.
Pittsburgh scored a win over Buffalo, which ranks highly. They’re capable of going to 2-0 on Monday.
Betting tip: Pittsburgh Steelers –5.5
Steelers by 10
—
New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers @ Bank of America Stadium
Jamies Winston and the New Orleans Saints destroyed the Green Bay Packers last week, and a repeat could be on the cards.
They looked confident, and despite Drew Brees retiring, they have found another quarterback capable of taking them all the way.
Carolina won well in the opening week, but the level of opposition increases.
Betting tip: New Orleans Saints –3.5
Saints by 7
—
Denver Broncos vs Jacksonville Jaguars @ TIAA Bank Field
Jacksonville still has some teething problems to sort through, but they didn’t look good in the opening game.
Trevor Lawrence threw three intercepts and struggled in his debut. It doesn’t bode well against Denver, who looked good last week.
Bookmakers have the Broncos at –6, which is a fair line given their respective performances.
Betting tip: Denver Broncos -6
Broncos by 10
—
Minnesota Vikings vs Arizona Cardinals @ State Farm Stadium
Arizona were one of the surprise teams in the opening week and we’re following them with interest this season.
Kyler Murray was on fire, and although the Vikings are a capable team, we think they’ll struggle in the heat in Arizona.
The 3.5 line is generous, so take the Cardinals to score a comfortable victory.
Betting tip: Arizona Cardinals –3.5
Cardinals by 7
—
Atlanta Falcons vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Raymond James Stadium
Atlanta couldn’t have been more disappointing last week when losing to the Eagles at home. It was another poor performance and the Buccaneers will jump on them.
Tom Brady executed another late touchdown drive to win the opening game, and that form should continue this week.
Expect the Buccs to score with ease.
Betting tip: Tampa Bay Buccaneers –11.5
Buccaneers by 16
—
Dallas Cowboys vs Los Angeles Chargers @ SoFi Stadium
Despite losing in the opening week to the Buccaneers, we were impressed by what the Dallas Cowboys offered.
Despite playing a Chargers team that looked good, we’re going with the minor upset here. Dallas looks to have talent, and Dak Prescott’s arm did the job.
Punters get excellent value at $2.32, which we expect to shorten throughout the week.
Betting tip: Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys by 7
—
Tennessee Titans vs Seattle Seahawks @ Lumen Field
The Seahawks looked good last week and they are a team to follow in the 2021 NFL season.
Russell Wilson did well at the quarterback position and we’re not expecting the Tennessee Titans to get in their way at home.
Take the Seahawks to score a comfortable win.
Betting tip: Seattle Seahawks –5.5
Seahawks by 12
—
Kansas City Chiefs vs Baltimore Ravens @ M&T Bank Stadium
We expected the Chiefs to be firmer favourites against Baltimore, who suffered some more injuries in the loss to Las Vegas.
Kansas City did well to produce a comeback against the Browns and we think this game could be easier.
Bookmakers have the line at 3.5, which looks generous. We’re going to take the line before it moves throughout the week.
Betting tip: Kansas City Chiefs –3.5
Chiefs by 10
—
Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers @ Lambeau Field
The Packers were awful last week and they looked disinterested. We’re not expecting a similar performance this week against the Detroit Lions.
The Lions looked good enough last week with Jared Goff at the helm, and we expect them to improve throughout the season.
We can’t back the Packers giving away 10.5 points. It’s too big given how poorly they played against New Orleans.
Betting tip: Detroit Lions +10.5
Packers by 3
