NFL Week 18 Picks
—
Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos @ Empower Field
The Chiefs might have lost last week, but we think they’ll get right back into the swing of things.
Denver has been poor of late, so it’s playing without confidence and it’s the final game of the season for them.
Bookmakers have the Chiefs at –11.5, which is a fair line. We expect the Chiefs to win by at least two touchdowns.
Betting tip: Kansas City Chiefs –11.5
Chiefs by 14
—
Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles @ Lincoln Financial Field
The Dallas Cowboys are always a hard team to trust when it comes to crunch time, so the Eagles could be the bet.
They have their chance last week but couldn’t come up clutch, and there has been strong money for the Eagles, who opened at +7.
The Eagles are riding a winning streak, and although those wins came against easier teams, we’re backing them to score an upset win.
Betting tip: Philadelphia Eagles +4.5
Eagles by 3
—
Cincinnati Bengals vs Cleveland Browns @ FirstEnergy Stadium
The Bengals are unlikely to play their best team in a game they don’t need to win, so it’s a tough game to bet.
Cleveland is without Baker Mayfield as well, but the bookmakers have the Browns at $1.37. That’s far too short for our liking, so even with the backup players, we’re backing the Bengals.
The +6 line is too good to pass up.
Betting tip: Cincinnati Bengals +6
Bengals by 3
—
Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions @ Ford Field
The Green Bay Packers are another team likely to rest their stars, but the Lions have a way to lose games they should win.
With only two wins this season, we can’t back with the Lions with any confidence. Therefore, there is value in betting on the second-string Packers at $1.53.
The odds are appealing and the replacements are good enough to handle a team like the Lions.
Betting tip: Green Bay Packers
Packers by 7
—
Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings @ U.S. Bank Stadium
It has been another disappointing season for the Bears and Vikings, but we favor the Vikings to get it done.
They have a winning home record and we don’t have much confidence in the Bears to score a win in this situation.
The Vikings are only –5.5 favourites, so the line is enough for punters to snap up the value.
Betting tip: Minnesota Vikings –5.5
Vikings by 7
—
Washington Football Team vs New York Giants @ MetLife Stadium
Unfortunately, punters get another game where neither team has a chance of making the playoffs.
The Giants have never been in the hunt, but at least Washington had a chance to be a threat, but they didn’t take the chance.
Despite a poor end to the regular season, we’re going with Washington to close it out and improve to 7-10.
Betting tip: Washington -7
Washington by 10
—
Indianapolis Colts vs Jacksonville Jaguars @ TIAA Bank Field
It has been a disaster of a season for the Jaguars and we expect it to get even worse.
The Jaguars have won only two games and Trevor Lawrence has been a bust for a top NFL draft pick.
Indianapolis had a chance to secure a playoff spot last week, but it fell to the Raiders. We don’t expect the same to happen again, so take the Colts to score an emphatic victory.
Betting tip: Indianapolis Colts -15.5
Colts by 22
—
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Baltimore Ravens @ M&T Bank Stadium
The Ravens looked to have everything under control at one point, but they have been poor in the second half.
The Steelers are in the same boat, and although Big Ben will want to go out with the bang, we give the edge to the Ravens.
Most of the early money has come for the Ravens and we’re happy with the –5.5 spread line.
Betting tip: Baltimore Ravens –5.5
Ravens by 7
—
Tennessee Titans vs Houston Texans @ NRG Stadium
Expectations were low for the Texans but we think they have exceeded those with four wins and 12 losses. However, beating the Titans could be a step too far.
The Titans are 11-5 and looked like Super Bowl contenders at one stage. We’re not sure if they’re at that level, but they’re good enough to beat Houston and comfortably.
The line is –10, which favors Titans’ backers.
Betting tip: Tennessee Titans -10
Titans by 14
—
New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons @ Mercedes-Benz Stadium
We think the Atlanta Falcons have been slightly better than New Orleans and an upset could be brewing.
They haven’t had the spotlight them at all this season, but Matt Ryan should be looking to end the year on a high.
We couldn’t take $1.47 for the Saints, so taking the Falcons at $2.68 is a better option.
Betting tip: Atlanta Falcons
Falcons by 3
—
New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills @ Highmark Stadium
The Buffalo Bill should have their way with the Jets, who have been terrible for the most part.
Buffalo would love to close out the regular season with a win and head into the playoffs with momentum, so we’re picking them to win easily.
Punters have to take a –16.5 line, but we can’t see the Jets putting up much of an effort.
Betting tip: Buffalo Bills –16.5
Bills by 20
—
San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams @ SoFi Stadium
Punters get a value line with the Los Angeles Rams at –4, which is likely change closer to game day.
The Rams are 12-4 and 5-2 at home, and although the 49ers are good on their day, we don’t like them in this pressure situation.
We’re confident with the Rams covering the spread, so take the value available.
Betting tip: Los Angeles Rams -4
Rams by 7
—
New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins @ Hard Rock Stadium
The Dolphins made an impressive last-season run but the Patriots should have the class edge.
New England often struggles to beat Miami, but given the circumstances, Bill Belichick and his men should be too good.
With a 6-1 road record, we’re taking the Patriots to cover the spread.
Betting tip: New England Patriots –6.5
Patriots by 12
—
Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals @ State Farm Stadium
The Cardinals have limped into the playoffs, but they looked too good early on to discount.
They are 11-5, but they have a losing home record, which is surprising. We expect the Cardinals to handle the Seahawks, who haven’t found their rhythm.
Kyler Murray is due a big game and the spread is only 6.5 points, which is favourable.
Betting tip: Arizona Cardinals –6.5
Cardinals by 7
—
Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Raymond James Stadium
The defending champions lost one of their best wide receivers when he gave up last week, which could hurt them.
Losing Antonio Brown leaves them short in the receiving department, but Tom Brady has a way to make it work.
Carolina hasn’t done enough to suggest that it will be a threat, so we’re locking the Buccaneers to close out the regular season in style.
Betting tip: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -8
Buccaneers by 14
—
Los Angeles Chargers vs Las Vegas Raiders @ Allegiant Stadium
The bookmakers have the Chargers as favorites and we’re giving them the slight edge in this important game.
It hasn’t been flash for either team, but the Chargers have the more exciting quarterback and better defence.
It could come down to the final position, but take the Chargers in head-to-head markets.
Betting tip: Los Angeles Chargers
Chargers by 4
