NFL Week 17 Predictions

New York Jets vs Cleveland Browns @ Cleveland Browns Stadium

A tough defensive game is expected on Friday, and the Jets could be good enough to keep it close.

They are only 6-9 overall, and the Browns are 10-5, so the home side is the better team, but covering – 7.5 won’t be easy.

Take the Jets to cover the touchdown spread.

Betting tip: Jets +7.5 @ $1.90

Browns by 7

Detroit Lions vs Dallas Cowboys @ AT&T Stadium

The Cowboys have yet to lose in seven games at home, which is why they’re the hot favourites to beat the Lions.

Detroit is playing well at 11-4, and although the Cowboys struggle at this time of the year, we can’t turn down the –5.5 line.

The line could move with the early betting support.

Betting tip: Cowboys –5.5 @ $1.86

Cowboys by 7

New England Patriots vs Buffalo Bills @ Highmark Stadium

The Bills are making a run at the playoffs, and it’s likely to continue against the Patriots.

New England played well last week when winning just its fourth game of the season. However, winning consecutive races won’t be easy.

The Bills are –13.5 favourites and they should be winning comfortably.

Betting tip: Bills –13.5 @ $1.90 (BET NOW)

Bills by 17

Atlanta Falcons vs Chicago Bears @ Soldier Field

We dropped the Falcons last week and we paid the price, but we’re back on them this week against the Bears.

They are paying value odds of $2.35, and those odds are too good to pass up, so include them in your selections.

They are still a playoff chance with a win, so they’re desperate.

Betting tip: Falcons @ $2.35

Falcons by 3

Las Vegas Raiders vs Indianapolis Colts @ Lucas Oil Stadium

The Colts are clinging onto their playoff hopes at 8-7, and a win over the Raiders on Monday is needed.

They haven’t always been the most consistent team, but the $1.54 odds and –3.5 line is too good to pass up against the Raiders.

We can’t see the Raiders playing good two weeks running.

Betting tip: Colts –3.5 @ $1.90

Colts by 7

Los Angeles Rams vs New York Giants @ MetLife Stadium

We don’t know what to expect from either the Rams or Giants, but the Rams have the better record.

At 8-7, they still have a chance to make the playoffs, and there is enough evidence to suggest they’re better than the Giants.

It’s not our most confident bet but take the Rams to win.

Betting tip: Rams –5.5 @ $1.90

Rams by 7

Arizona Cardinals vs Philadelphia Eagles @ Lincoln Financial Field

The Eagles haven’t been at their best recently, but they should be far too good for the Cardinals.

Arizona owns a 1-7 road record, and given the Eagles still have Super Bowl ambitions, putting the Cardinals to the sword is a must.

Covering a –10.5 line isn’t easy, but they’re due a big performance.

Betting tip: Eagles –10.5 @ $1.90

Eagles by 14

New Orleans Saints vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Raymond James Stadium

The Buccaneers are going under the radar, and they’re good enough to defeat the Saints.

They have a winning 8-7 record, so the playoffs are in sight, and Baker Mayfield has been excellent at the quarterback position.

Getting a –2.5 line is generous from bookmakers.

Betting tip: Buccaneers –2.5 @ $1.90

Buccaneers by 7

San Francisco 49ers vs Washington Commanders @ FedEx Field

The 49ers got a rude awakening last week against the Baltimore Ravens, but they could bounce back against the Commanders.

They are still Super Bowl contenders, and we’re not surprised by the –12.5 line, as most expect them to be much better.

Brock Purdy needs to find mental strength and bounce back, and he’s capable.

Betting tip: 49ers –12.5 @ $1.90

49ers by 14

Carolina Panthers vs Jacksonville Jaguars @ EverBank Stadium

We’re not backing the Panthers, who have an 0-8 record on the road, so we’re including the Jaguars in multis.

The Jags haven’t been the most consistent team going around, but they have had some injury problems to contend with.

They should have too much class for the Panthers.

Betting tip: Jaguars –6.5 @ $1.90

Jaguars by 10

Miami Dolphins vs Baltimore Ravens @ M&T Bank Stadium

It’s the biggest game of the week and we’re picking the Ravens to come out ahead.

The Ravens come off a huge win over the 49ers, which is the best form guide for this game, even against the Dolphins.

Getting $2 for a –3.5 line is well worth taking, and we expect the Ravens to make a push for the Super Bowl.

Betting tip: Ravens –3.5 @ $2

Ravens by 7

Tennessee Titans vs Houston Texans @ NRG Stadium

It’s hard to know what the Texans will produce week-to-week, but they’re playing better than the Titans.

Getting the Texans at a –5.5 line is better than expected, and the Titans have only one road win to their name in 2023.

That’s enough reason to back the home side with confidence.

Betting tip: Texans –5.5 @ $1.90

Texans by 7

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Seattle Seahawks @ Lumen Field

The Steelers were impressive last week, but beating the Seahawks at Lumen Field is easier said than done.

Both teams are 8-7, so they’re right in the firing line for the playoffs, and we’re picking Seattle to come out ahead.

Getting $1.60 for the home team is a fair price from bookies, so include them in your NFL picks. Betting tip: Seahawks @ $1.60

Seahawks by 6

Los Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos @ Empower Field

The Broncos gave up an ideal chance to win last week, but they should beat the Chargers on Monday. They are their own worst enemies, and Russell Wilson is doing all he can to give them a chance to win.

Punters get a –3.5 line against a Chargers team battling with injuries, so this is an ideal time to bet on the Broncos.

Betting tip: Broncos –3.5 @ $1.90

Broncos by 7

Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs @ GEHA Field

It’s not a vintage Chiefs team, especially after being defeated by the Raiders last week. However, we’re backing them to beat the Bengals.

Cincinnati suffered a crushing loss without Joe Burrow at quarterback, and their playoff chances could slip away.

The Chiefs are –6.5, so they should win by a touchdown.

Betting tip: Chiefs –6.5 @ $1.90

Chiefs by 7

Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings @ U.S. Bank Stadium

It’s always a good game between the Packers and Vikings, and we’re leaning towards the Packers to score an upset.

It won’t be a popular win for locals, but the Packers have shown more ability despite having the same record.

Minnesota’s 2-5 home record is another reason to back the Packers.

Betting tip: Packers @ $2.10
