We have expert betting predictions for Week 16 of the 2020/2021 NFL season, which starts with the Vikings vs. Saints.
We love NFL around Christmas time because every game is important with only two weeks left of the regular season.
There are some huge games on the card this week, including Dolphins vs. Raiders, Colts vs. Steelers, Panthers vs. Washington, and Titans vs. Packers.
NFL Week 16 Picks
—
Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints @ Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Minnesota had a chance to make the playoffs a few weeks ago but they have let many winnable games slip them by.
Looking to bounce back from a loss to the Chiefs are the Saints, who welcomed back Drew Brees. He looked good throughout the game and they should have too much firepower for the Vikings.
Expect the Saints to get back into their winning groove.
Betting tip: Saints to win
Saints by 10
—
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Detroit Lions @ Ford Field
Detroit is a team that is capable of producing the goods this season, but they’re not living up to expectations.
It has been a similar story for the Buccaneers, despite having a 9-5 record. They have struggled against the best teams in the NFL, but luckily for them, the Lions are not in that echelon.
Tampa Bay should exercise their class and score a comfortable win.
Betting tip: Buccaneers –10.5
Buccaneers by 13
—
San Franciso 49ers vs. Arizona Cardinals @ State Farm Stadium
Arizona is still in the hunt for a playoff spot and although the 49ers are a dangerous team, we’re backing the home side.
Making this slightly harder for Arizona is that San Franciso has been playing their home games in Arizona, so it’s not exactly an away game.
However, the Cardinals are playing better and with so much on the line, Kyler Murray and his team should come out ahead.
Betting tip: Cardinals to win
Cardinals by 7
—
Miami Dolphins vs. Las Vegas Raiders @ Allegiant Stadium
We are expecting a close game between two evenly-matched teams. The Dolphins are 9-5 on the season and the Raiders are 7-7, so it’s an important game.
Miami is situated better for the playoffs and young Tua has been impressive in his debut season. The Raiders could be without their quarterback Derek Carr, who suffered an injury to his groin.
Bookmakers won’t release a line until his availability becomes known, but take the Dolphins regardless.
Betting tip: Dolphins to win
Dolphins by 6
—
Atlanta Falcons vs. Kansas City Chiefs @ Arrowhead Stadium
Atlanta blew a big lead against the Buccaneers last week and betting on them with trust is almost impossible.
One team punters can trust are the Chiefs, who have dropped only one game in their title defense season after winning last season’s Super Bowl.
Kansas City should have too many guns to kick off Monday football.
Betting tip: Chiefs –13.5
Chiefs by 20
—
Cleveland Browns vs. New York Jets @ MetLife Stadium
The Jets have made it an art to play well without winning this season because they want the #1 draft pick.
That plays into the hands of the Cleveland Browns, who need the win at 10-4. They have played well in recent weeks and Baker Mayfield has been more consistent than last season.
We can’t see any way the Jets win this game and they simply don’t want to, so take the Browns to score comfortably.
Betting tip: Browns –12.5
Browns by 17
—
Indianapolis Colts vs. Pittsburgh Steelers @ Heinz Field
It was only a few weeks ago when Pittsburgh was sitting at 11-0 and looking like a Super Bowl contender, but much has changed since then.
They are coming off a dreadful 27-17 loss to the Bengals on Tuesday and they made countless errors and turnovers. It was a poor display from this team, which outclassed Cincinnati on paper, but failed to deliver on the field.
Indianapolis could pounce on this hurting side and score a minor upset.
Betting tip: Colts to win
Colts by 7
—
Chicago Bears vs. Jacksonville Jaguars @ TIAA Bank Field
Despite their offensive struggles this season, the Chicago Bears are 7-7 and looking to improve to a winning record.
This game looms big for both teams, but the Jacksonville Jaguars still have plenty to play for. However, it’s not in the sense you would expect.
The Jaguars are looking to lose this game to improve their chances of getting the top pick. At 1-13, it’s the only thing they have to play, or not play for. For that reason, take Chicago to score with ease.
Betting tip: Bears –9.5
Bears by 13
—
New York Giants vs. Baltimore Ravens @ M&T Bank Stadium
The Ravens will be desperate to enter the playoffs with some momentum and beating the Giants shouldn’t be a problem.
With Lamar Jackson at the helm and growing in confidence, the Ravens could produce one of their better performances of the season.
New York is struggling and they shouldn’t be competitive.
Betting tip: Ravens to win
Ravens by 21
—
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Houston Texans @ NRG Stadium
The Bengals scored an incredible win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday and that momentum could carry over to Week 16.
They won 27-17 in their best performance of the season and now they take on a Texans team without any confidence at all.
The Texans are 4-10 on what can only be described as a shocking season. They are the heavy favourites to win this game, but we’re struggling to see where their confidence comes from.
Take the Bengals at value head-to-head odds.
Betting tip: Bengals to win
Bengals by 7
—
Denver Broncos vs. LA Chargers @ SoFi Stadium
Two 5-9 teams do battle in a game that won’t excite many, but there is still value to be snapped up by punters.
The Chargers have played better than the Broncos this season and we are not surprised to see them open as the $1.53 favourites.
Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert is a star in the making and he could take the Chargers to a slightly better record.
Betting tip: Chargers to win
Chargers by 10
—
Carolina Panthers vs. Washington @ FedEx Field
Washington, despite being 6-8, can win this game and force their way into the NFL playoffs.
Playing in a poor division has helped them this season and Carolina shouldn’t pose them too many threats on Monday.
The Panthers are only 4-10 on what has been a disappointing season, but they could play spoilers to Washington.
Betting tip: Washington to win
Washington by 7
—
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys @ AT&T Stadium
The Cowboys and Eagles will be bitterly disappointed by their performances this season, but the problem has been injuries.
Both teams have suffered a catastrophic number of injuries, so to have nine combined wins isn’t all too bad.
Philadelphia still has a solid team and although Dallas has looked better in recent weeks, we’re going with the Eagles for the victory.
Betting tip: Eagles to win
Eagles by 3
—
LA Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks @ Lumen Field
Two quality teams do battle in Seattle this week as the 9-5 Rams take on the 10-4 Seahawks.
Seattle started their season on fire and Russell Wilson was a top contender for MVP, but their form has taken a dip in recent weeks.
However, they are still a quality outfit and with a home record of 6-1, they could get the better of the Rams in this situation.
Wilson has 37 touchdowns and we like his consistency, so take Seattle in what should be a close contest.
Betting tip: Seahawks to win
Seahawks by 6
—
Tennessee Titans vs. Green Bay Packers @ Lambeau Field
The Titans scored an emphatic win last week but their ability will be tested against the 11-3 Green Bay Packers on Monday afternoon.
Green Bay has gone under the radar this year and Aaron Rodgers is making a case for MVP after recording 40 touchdowns.
Tennessee will rely on its running game with Derek Henry, but we are confident in the Packers’ defense. They could stuff the run and score at will against the suspect Titans secondary.
Betting tip: Packers to win @ $1.53 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Packers by 10
—
Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots @ Gillette Stadium
Buffalo has been incredible this season with an 11-3 record and they enter this game as firm favourites.
The men from upper New York have been powerful on offense and Josh Allen has recorded 30 touchdowns and 4000 yards.
New England has been poor with Cam Newton at the helm, but we expected a big dip in form after the departure of Tom Brady.
We expect the Bills to continue their impressive form.
Betting tip: Bills to win
