The 2022/23 NFL season is only days away and we look at the best NFL futures betting markets.
The Super Bowl betting markets have never been so wide open and there are many teams who could play for the title in February. Headlining the market are the Buffalo Bills at $7, but hot on their heels are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs.
We look at where punters can find the best value for the upcoming NFL season.
NFL Season Predictions
—
Super Bowl LVII Winner – Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the more dangerous offensive teams in the NFL and we think they’ll improve from last season.
Not everything went their way in the playoffs and we thought they were unlucky not to make the Super Bowl. However, Patrick Mahomes is the most talented quarterback and he shows that on a consistent basis.
We love that there are no divas in the Chiefs squad, which should allow them to focus on winning and making it through to the Super Bowl without much stress.
They need to stay healthy, as is the same with all teams, but we think the $11 for the Chiefs to win is an excellent price.
Slowing down their offence is easier said than done and we expect them to be great.
Bet: Kansas City Chiefs @ $11
—
Super Bowl LVII Best Value – Baltimore Ravens
Betting on the Baltimore Ravens can be difficult because they’re so wildly inconsistent, but we’re keeping the faith.
If they can get back to their defensive best, Lamar Jackson and the offence should do the rest. Jackson is still an underrated quarterback, but he’s an exceptional talent who is a massive threat in the running game.
They are another team, when healthy, good enough to win the Super Bowl and the $21 odds are delicious.
Bet: Baltimore Ravens @ $21
—
Super Bowl LVII Best Longshot – Tennessee Titans
There were many contenders for the NFL best longshot, including the Bengals, Cowboys, and Colts. However, we settled on the Titans.
They haven’t done much wrong over the last few years, and with a quality quarterback/running back combination in Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry, why not back them to win it all?
Winning in the playoffs is needed as we expect them to post a good regular-season record, but they’re good enough to make the step up in 2022/23.
Bet: Tennessee Titans @ $34
—
NFL Regular Season MVP – Patrick Mahomes
We respect bookmakers having Josh Allen favoured at $8, but we think Mahomes is ready for another mammoth year.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback looked outstanding in pre-season and he’s only going to get better with time, which is a scary thought.
We believe he’s the best player in the NFL and slowing down the Chiefs offence is going to be a mission for even the best defensive team.
He’s a value pick at $9 and those odds could shorten significantly throughout the year.
Bet: Patrick Mahomes @ $9
—
NFL Comeback Player of the Year – Christian McCaffrey
Christian McCaffrey hasn’t had a good time of it with injuries, but the Carolina Panthers running back is a quality player.
The former Stanford Cardinal has played only 10 games in the last two seasons, but he played in all 16 games in his first three season.
If he gets anywhere close to that form and stays healthy, we have little doubt McCaffrey wins Comeback Player on the Year.
He’s an $8 chance and he should get fed the ball on a constant basis.
Bet: Christian McCaffrey @ $8
—
NFL Most Rushing Yards – Jonathan Taylor
Jonathan Taylor went for 1,811 rushing yards last season and the third-year player could win the rushing title.
He looks to have more potential than most running backs in the NFL and we expect him to have another big season given the systems at Indianapolis.
They use their running backs a lot and the $5.30 odds suggest he’s the man to back.
Bet: Jonathan Taylor @ $5.30
