College Basketball Picks

Miami Hurricanes vs. Pittsburgh Panthers @ Greensboro Coliseum

It hasn’t been the season Miami and Pittsburgh had hoped for, but there is a still a chance to progress through the ACC Tournament.

Miami is 8-16 following a much-needed win over Boston College. The Hurricanes had gone on a lengthy losing streak, but they had been facing tough teams.

Pittsburgh is 10-11 following four losses from its last five games. The record looked much better throughout the season, but losses to the likes of Clemson, NC State and Florida State didn’t help.

Statistically, Pittsburgh is the much better team. The Panthers score 71.1 points per game and allow 69.7, whereas Miami scores 65.9 and allows 71.2 points.

Pittsburgh has Justin Champagnie, who has scored 18.4 points per game at a clip of 49.4 percent. He also chimes in with 11.1 rebounds per game, so Champagnie could be the deciding factor in this contest.

Punters should have Pittsburgh on the ticket this Wednesday.

Bet: Pittsburgh Panthers to win

Boston College Eagles vs. Duke Blue Devils @ Greensboro Coliseum

Duke needs an ACC Tournament win to have any chance of making the tournament later this month. The Blue Devils have had a disastrous season at 11-11, considering they are one of the best recruiting teams in the nation.

Things looked to be turning around at the end of the season, but three consecutive losses ruined any momentum Duke had. Losses to Louisville, Georgia Tech and North Carolina took them from 11-8 to 11-11, and two of those losses came in overtime.

The deflated Blue Devils need to regroup against Boston College, but it should be an easier game. Despite scoring an upset win over Notre Dame two weeks ago, it has been a dismal season for the Eagles.

They are 4-15 and 2-11 in the ACC Conference, which doesn’t make for good reading. Any team that scores 72.4 points and allows 79.2 is going to struggle, and this could be a breakout performance for Duke.

It needs to post a big win over Boston College on Wednesday and with the likes of Matthew Hurt in the team, anything less isn’t acceptable.

Put Duke on your ticket and although a double-digit line is expected, the Blue Devils should have it covered.

Bet: Duke Blue Devils to win

Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish @ Greensboro Coliseum

Notre Dame finished the regular season with a 10-14 record, but it ended with a bang.

The Irish scored a huge upset win over Florida State, which was considered one of the best teams in the country. The 83-73 performance was the seasons’ best for Notre Dame and that momentum could carry over to this game.

Wake Forest is riding a seven-game losing streak and their confidence is completely shot. The last five losses have been decided by 8, 13, 38, 21, and 18 points. It hasn’t been pretty to watch and loyal fans are being tested.

Punters should look to Notre Dame’s win over Florida State was the best betting guide. It won’t be easy to match the effort put up on that occasion, but nothing is going right for the Demon Deacons.

We expect bookmakers to have Notre Dame as the 8.5-point favourites and they should be able to cover the spread comfortably.

Bet: Notre Dame Fighting Irish to win
