02/01/2021 NCAAB College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The college basketball season continues in the US with three quality games this Monday.

We have college basketball betting predictions for Georgia Tech vs. Louisville, Duke vs. Miami, and Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech.

All three games present punters with great betting opportunities, so let’s dive into the previews.

Monday College Basketball Picks

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Louisville Cardinals @ KFC Yum Center

Louisville grips on to a top-25 position following a loss to Clemson, which saw its offensive production drop considerably.

The Cardinals scored 69.1 points on average, and were coming off a 70-point performance against Duke. However, they scored just 50 points against the stout defense of Clemson.

The loss was their third from the last four games, which includes defeats to Miami and Florida State. It has been a disappointing stretch for a team that had eyes on a top-10 ranking just a couple of weeks ago.

Georgia Tech has solid form this season after posting an 8-5 record. It scored recent wins over Wake Forest, Clemson and Florida State. The win over Clemson is a good form guide, as it came by 18 points.

The win over Florida State also bodes well for the Yellow Jackets, and they could add to the recent struggles of Louisville.

Bookmakers have Louisville as the $1.52 favourite, but we don’t think there is much value with those odds. Georgia Tech is a team that loves to score an upset, and playing on the road with no fans isn’t a daunting task.

Look for the energetic Jose Alvarado to continue his scoring ways, and for the Cardinals to lose back-to-back games.

Bet: Georgia Tech to win

Duke Blue Devils vs. Miami Hurricanes @ Watsco Center

It’s not the classic Duke vs. Miami contest we had all hoped for, but there is still plenty to play for on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils are having a down season at 7-5, with Coach K not enjoying playing through a global pandemic. However, they are still a competitive team that comes off consecutive wins over Georgia Tech and Clemson.

Duke has found a way to score the ball of late. It scored 75 points against Georgia Tech and 79 against Clemson, which resulted in a 79-53 thrashing of the Tigers.

Despite losing three consecutive games, Duke is getting back to its best basketball, which is a bad sign for Miami.

The Hurricanes are 6-10 and 2-9 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. They have dropped their last four games, and some of the losses have been disastrous.

They come off a 12-point loss to Wake Forest, and they lost their previous three games by a combined margin of 52 points. That will be tough to turn around against a Duke team with confidence.

Miami plays at home and it scored an 78-72 win over Louisville last month, but they will need to improve significantly on Tuesday, and we can’t see that happening.

Duke is still in the conference hunt, so they have more to play for.

Bet: Duke to win

Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders @ United Supermarkets Arena

Oklahoma and Texas Tech both come off stellar wins on Sunday, so punters are treated to a big game this Tuesday.

Texas Tech were down by seven points with just over a minute to go, but it somehow found a way to get past LSU. It was an incredible victory for the Red Raiders, who are currently ranked tenth in the country.

At 12-5, Texas Tech is a legitimate team this season, and they bounced back impressively following consecutive losses to Baylor and West Virginia.

Oklahoma is riding a lengthy winning streak, which includes wins over Kansas, Texas and Alabama. The last three wins have come over ranked teams, so expect its ranking of 24 to drastically improve this week.

The Sooners have an ability to beat quality teams and their confidence never wanes. That will be on display on Tuesday against Texas Tech, but it won’t be an easy game.

The Red Raiders are always tough to beat at home, and although they are only 4-4 in the tough Big 12 Conference, they could win this contest.

It will be a close game with plenty of lead changes, but stick with Texas Tech with home-court advantage.

Bet: Texas Tech to win
