12/21/2020 NCAAB College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The college basketball season continues in the US and it provides punters with plenty of great betting opportunities this Monday.

We went 3-0 in our Saturday selections and we are back with three more of our best college basketball selections.

On the cards this Tuesday Morehead State vs. Clemson, Southern Illinois vs. Butler, and Tulsa vs. Memphis.

Monday College Basketball Picks

Morehead State Eagles vs. Clemson Tigers @ Littlejohn Coliseum

Clemson has emerged as one of the best defensive teams in the NCAA and although beaten last week against Virginia Tech, they went down fighting.

The Tigers have allowed opponents to score only 53.8 points per game, which ranks as one of the best defensive statistics in the country.

They stifle their opponents on the defensive end, but that does leave them short on the offensive front. They score only 66.7 points per game, with Aamir Sims doing most of the damage with 12.2 points.

Despite a lack of offensive power, the Tigers are 5-1 on the season thanks to their defense. They stuck with Virginia Tech last week, losing by only six points in a game that could have been a blowout.

Prior to that loss they recorded wins over Alabama, Maryland and Purdue, so there is plenty of class with this team.

Morehead State has faced much easier opposition for their 4-5 record, which consists of no wins on the road.

They will likely struggle against this Clemson side and bookmakers should have the line around –12.5 for Clemson. We can see them covering that spread if a few shots go down.

Bet: Clemson Tigers to win

Southern Illinois Salukis vs. Butler Bulldogs @ Hinkle Fieldhouse

Southern Illinois has been facing easy teams this season but they are traveling well with a 5-0 record.

Their biggest test comes on Tuesday as they face the 1-2 Butler Bulldogs, who look ready to show their best after some tough results.

They kicked off their season with a four-point win over Western Michigan before losing by 19 points to Villanova. That was a very tough game and they followed it up with a loss to the Indiana Hoosiers on Sunday.

Both games will hold them in good stead against a much easier team this week and most punters are expecting a Butler victory.

Almost 90% of the early money has come for the Bulldogs and although we respect the winning nature of the Salukis, they could struggle at this level.

Expect bookmakers to have Butler as the double-digit favourites, where they could score an easy victory as they will welcome the much easier competition.

Bet: Butler Bulldogs to win

Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs. Memphis Tigers @ FedEx Forum

Memphis has had plenty of experience this season with eight games, which is three more than their rivals on Tuesday.

The Tigers are 5-3 after beating Tulane by six points last week and that followed a narrow loss to the tough Auburn Tigers.

Tulsa is 2-3 following a win over Northwestern and they have taken on tough opposition to start their 2020/2021 season. They faced Wichita and TCU but lost by less than five points, so those performances were full of merit.

Brandon Rachel has scored 15.6 points per game for the Golden Hurricane and he also leads the team in rebounding with 6.4 per game.

Memphis relies on a team effort, which consists of Landers Nolly and Moussa Cisse, who led the team in points and rebounds.

We are expecting a close game between two solid teams and Tulsa could cover the spread, which should be around the 8.5 mark.

Bet: Tulsa Golden Hurricane + points
