12/17/2021 NCAAB College Basketball Picks & Predictions

We have betting tips for three of the best college basketball games on Friday, which features some quality games.

Our feature games include St. Bonaventure vs Virginia Tech, Villanova vs Creighton and Wake Forest vs Charlotte.

College Basketball Picks

St. Bonaventure Bonnies vs Virginia Tech Hokies @ Spectrum Center

The Bonnies are a quality team on their day, and although they lost their last game, it came against UConn.

Losing to the Huskies is understandable, so they shouldn’t be too worried about falling to 8-2. They looked good earlier with three consecutive wins, but now they face a tough road test against the Hokies.

The Hokies are 7-4 following a 62-57 loss to Dayton. They also lost to Xavier and Wake Forest, which were tough games.

Returning home should help and we expect most of the early support to come for the Hokies. However, our money is on St. Bonaventure to score a road upset.

The Bonnies are a team that could fly under the radar, but we think they’ll make the NCAA Tournament and could potentially upset a favoured team.

Take the value available with the visitors.

Bet: St. Bonaventure Bonnies

Villanova Wildcats vs Creighton Bluejays @ CHI Health Center

We’re not sure what went wrong with the Villanova Wildcats against Baylor, but it wasn’t pretty.

They scored only 36 points in the 57-36 defeat to last season’s champions, which is a big concern going forward.

For a team that averages 74 points per game, being held to such a low total raises some serious concerns. They will need to bounce back against the Creighton Bluejays, who have lost two of their last three.

The Bluejays lost to Iowa State and Arizona State in close contests. The 58-57 defeat last time out was tough to stomach for the 8-3 team, but playing another game at home is ideal.

It’s their toughest test of the season, so we’re not sure what to expect from Creighton. However, we’re prepared to risk backing the Wildcats despite their horrendous performance against Baylor.

It was too bad to be true, but coach Jay Wright should get them back in working order. Most of the early money has come for Villanova, so punters should expect a spread around –6.5 on game day.

Bet: Villanova Wildcats

Wake Forest Demons Deacons vs Charlotte 49ers @ Spectrum Center

We love what Wake Forest has done this season with a 10-1 record. The Demon Deacons lost their only game against LSU, but they rebounded with four consecutive wins.

They average 81 points per game, so they’re good enough to blow Charlotte out of the water on Saturday.

The Charlotte 49ers are 5-4 after beating Valparaiso 68-67. It was a gritty victory against a decent team, so that should raise confidence levels.

It also came on the road, so picking up a road win is another confidence boost, especially after losing to the talented Razorbacks by 20 points.

However, Wake Forest is heading in the right direction and we don’t think it will have much trouble winning. Alondes Williams is a talent and his 19.8 points per game will go a long way to winning this contest.

He leads the team in points, rebounds and assists, so we think he’ll lead them to another victory.

Bet: Wake Forest Demon Deacons
