NBA Betting Picks
Indiana Pacers vs Charlotte Hornets @ Spectrum Center
The Charlotte Hornets are seeking their fifth consecutive win after beating the likes of Golden State and New York.
It has been an impressive run for LaMelo Ball and Mikal Bridges, who are good enough to carry the Hornets to a playoff run.
They are only one of three teams to beat the Warriors, so they will feel confident about beating the 6-10 Indiana Pacers on Saturday.
Boasting a 5-2 record at home, Charlotte is stepping up on defence. It allowed only 87 points against the Washington Wizards last time on court, which isn’t easy to achieve. The Hornets also allowed only 96 points against New York, which is stout defence.
Indiana has players that can make plays, including Domantas Sabonis, but there is a lack of cohesion with this team at the moments. It’s a concern, so we feel comfortable in taking the Hornets to score an easy win.
Bet: Charlotte Hornets
Los Angeles Lakers vs Boston Celtics @ TD Garden
It’s hard to pick which team has played worse this season, but we’re giving the edge to the Boston Celtics.
They are underperformed after going 7-8, and we didn’t see much effort being put in when losing to the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday.
Having Jaylen Brown out is a huge loss for the Celtics, who desperately miss him on both sides of the ball. He’s an excellent two-way player, who is the heart and soul of this team.
Los Angeles could be without LeBron James, but there are reports that he could play. The Lakers need him on court after losing their last two games to Chicago and Milwaukee. Losing consecutive games to Eastern Conference teams isn’t ideal form.
Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook look old, and the Lakers don’t have any young studs to carry the team when they’re not performing at their best.
Punters could have a hard time picking a winner, but we expect Jayson Tatum to come out firing. He is the biggest threat to drop 30 points, especially with Brown on the sidelines.
Bookmakers should be offering a good price for the Celtics, who are a solid chance of getting back to .500.
Bet: Boston Celtics
Dallas Mavericks vs Phoenix Suns @ Footprint Center
The hottest team in the NBA are the Phoenix Suns, who have rattled off 10 consecutive wins after a 1-3 start.
They are looking like the team that made the NBA Finals last season, so punters should be confident with them going forward.
The Suns come off a 105-98 win over the Dallas Mavericks, so they are a good chance of winning the double-header. Devin Booker had 24 points on 11/21 shooting, and if he does that again, we don’t think the Mavericks will keep in touch.
Luka Doncic will need to be at his best to end the Suns’ hot streak, but with niggling injuries surrounding the superstar, we can’t put our confidence in the Mavericks.
Punters should get solid value for the Suns, who are an excellent chance to extend their winning streak to 11 on the bounce.
Bet: Phoenix Suns
