Boston Celtics vs Milwaukee Bucks @ Fiserv Forum
The Boston Celtics got their playoffs back on track with a comfortable Game 2 win, which couldn’t have come at a better time.
They needed to get at least a 1-1 split at home otherwise their chances of winning the series were all but over. Now, there is confidence with the Celtics, who are only $2.24 underdogs to win in Milwaukee.
The 109-86 victory showed punters what the Celtics can do when they’re on their game, so it’s on the Bucks to respond in front of their home crowd, but they’ll need an offensive boost.
Milwaukee was particularly poor on the offensive end with only 86 points and they scored only 101 in the first meeting, which resulted in a 101-89 win.
That has led bookmakers to open the Bucks at $1.65 when we thought they would be much shorter, especially after taking the opening game on the road.
However, there is pressure on the Bucks to perform and momentum is with the Celtics, so it won’t be an easy turnaround for the favourites.
This is one of the hardest games to predict during the NBA playoffs and it could go either way, but we can’t turn down the value with the Celtics, who could take the series by the scruff of the neck and produce the goods.
We’re happy with the $2.24 head-to-head price but for some security, take the Celtics with the +2.5-point advantage.
Bet: Boston Celtics +2.5 @ $1.97

Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors @ Chase Centre
Much like the Boston Celtics, the Memphis Grizzlies bounced back to save face with a win in Game 2.
Ja Morant was incredible in scoring a playoff high and they should be confident of going on the road and beating the Golden State Warriors. However, that’s easier said than done.
The Warriors are tough to beat at home, as they 31-10 record suggests, and it took a mammoth effort from Morant to beat them in Game 2.
Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have yet to explode for a big total, but it’s in the pipeline and we expect them to produce around 55 points on Sunday.
Chase Centre is one of the toughest places for visitors to win at and that’s what faces a young Grizzlies team, so they could struggle in this situation.
Bookmakers have the Warriors as firm favourites at $1.33, which is short, but not unexpected. They are the –6.5 favourites and that’s where the betting gets interesting.
We expect the Warriors to be too strong for the Grizzlies and it could be a close game throughout, but the Warriors typically finish strongly and that could see them cover the spread late in the fourth quarter.
Add to the Warriors at the head-to-head price in your NBA multi bets, but also take the Warriors –6.5 for more value.
Bet: Golden State Warrior –6.5 @ $1.90
