NBA Betting Picks – Tuesday May 4th, 2021

We have betting picks and predictions for three of the best NBA games played this Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

With only a few weeks left of the regular season, every game becomes more important. We preview three of the biggest games on Tuesday, including Nets vs Bucks, Mavericks vs Heat, and Raptors vs Clippers.

NBA Betting Picks

Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks @ Fiserv Forum

Two Eastern Conference superstar teams battle for the second time in three days when the Nets travel to Milwaukee.

It was the Bucks that got the better of the Nets on Sunday when scoring by three points. Giannis had a huge game and the likes of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving couldn’t keep up.

It’s hard to know which players will take to the court on any given day, but we expect both teams to be at relative full strength. The Nets are still missing James Harden, but having a healthy Irving and Durant helps.

Milwaukee gets the benefit of playing at home for the second consecutive game. It’s 21-10 at home this season and the Nets are nearly as effective away from Barclays Centre.

Picking the winner of a back-to-back can be tricky, but we like what the Bucks are doing at the moment. They are playing excellent team basketball and the Nets are still trying to work out combinations.

With Antetokounmpo coming off a 49-point performance, he’ll be keen to match it. He is good enough to score at will and the Nets don’t have anyone that can defend him in the paint. De’Andre Jordan isn’t mobile enough and the Nets’ guards aren’t terrific defenders.

Stick with the Bucks to win consecutive games against Brooklyn.

Bet: Milwaukee Bucks to win

Dallas Mavericks vs Miami Heat @ AmericanAirlines Arena

The Mavericks aren’t doing their playoff hopes any good by consistently losing to Sacramento. The winning streak came unstuck on Tuesday and they’ll need to bounce back against Miami.

Dallas is still in a solid position in the Western Conference, but a loss to the Miami Heat could see it fall down the rankings.

Miami is another team locked in a battle for playoff positioning and it will look to add a fourth consecutive win. The Heat have got hot at the right time by beating San Antonio, Cleveland and Charlotte.

Those wins didn’t come against top tier teams, but the Heat are trending positively at the right time of the season.

Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo remain out, which could be problematic. We’re not sure how they’re going to match the scoring of Luka Doncic and that’s why we’re giving the edge to Dallas.

Punters should get value odds for the road team.

Bet: Dallas Mavericks to win

Toronto Raptors vs Los Angeles Clippers @ STAPLES Center

Toronto has improved significantly in the second-half of the season and they come off a win over the Lakers on Tuesday.

The Raptors are 6-4 over their last 10 games and although they lost three in a row last week, the losses came to Denver, Brooklyn and Utah.

It’s better form than what the Clippers are showing. Los Angeles has lost three on the bounce to New Orleans, Phoenix and Denver. Scoring has been an issue after posting totals of just 103, 101, and 104 in the losses.

We worry about Toronto’s ability to win on the road, despite beating a poor Lakers team. They are just 11-22 on the road and the Clippers are 24-9 at home, so there is a sizable advantage.

Los Angeles will be firm favourites to win and the points spread line should be around 6.5. We think Toronto is good enough to cover the spread, especially if Kyle Lowry continues to play lock-down defence.

Punters should expect a close game where the Raptors could make a late run to keep it close.

Bet: Toronto Raptors with points
