Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics @ TD Garden
The Boston Celtics had a great opportunity to take home court advantage away from the Heat, but they played poorly on Sunday.
Jayson Tatum had only 10 points and failed to make a bucket in the second half, which isn’t good enough from their star player.
The Celtics were also helped by the injury to Jimmy Butler, but it didn’t make any difference. However, it could make a difference on Tuesday.
Bookmakers have the Celtics as –6.5 favourites to square the series at 2-2, but it will require a much better effort this time around, and not from only Tatum, but also Marcus Smart.
We don’t expect Butler to play Game 4, but the odds would change drastically if he was listed as available. The head-to-head price could firm from around $3.19 to $2.30, but the Heat are competitive even without their leader.
Bam Adebayo had a huge effort in Game 3 and a repeat performance would see the Heat stay with the Celtics. The Heat big man got his confidence levels back up to where they used to be, and as long as the Heat defend well, they’re always a chance.
We think there is too much money for the Celtics, so we’re locking in the Heat +6.5.
Bet: Miami Heat +6.5 @ $1.90

Golden State Warriors vs Dallas Mavericks @ American Airlines Centre
It looks as though the Dallas Mavericks are on the brink of making an NBA playoff exit, but this is typically a profitable situation for punters.
Whenever the Golden State Warriors have the chance to close out a series on the road, they often lose so they can close out the series in front of their home fans.
Being up 3-0 comes with some luxury of not needing their star players to play big minutes, which could be the case on Wednesday.
We wouldn’t be surprised to see the Warriors come out a little flat, like they did when facing the Memphis Grizzlies in the last round.
The Mavericks had their chance to win Game 3 after being down by only one point down at the half, but they failed to knock down open shots.
Reggie Bullock went 0/10 from the field and his lack of impact was a big factor. They need their outside men to knock down shots, otherwise the Warriors defence can lock in on Luka Doncic and force him to make the extra pass.
We don’t think the Mavericks will shut up shop. There is still a chance of making a comeback and the Warriors have lost a big series lead in the past.
The bookmakers have taken note and installed the Mavericks as favourites at $1.88. It’s a good time to bet on the Mavericks and they should extend the series.
Bet: Dallas Mavericks @ $1.88
