2020 NBA Finals Game 4 – Tips, Predictions & Odds

We have expert betting predictions for Game 4 of the NBA Finals between Miami Heat and LA Lakers.

Just when everyone thought the Lakers were going to easily wrap up the finals, the Heat stepped up to the plate.

The series is 2-1 to the Lakers and there is everything to play for this Wednesday. We look at the form of both teams and the best betting options for punters.

NBA Finals Game 4 Betting Tips

Miami Heat vs. LA Lakers Game 4

Miami was getting +9.5 points for Game 3, but they didn’t need any help from bookmakers. They scored an upset 115-104 win over the Lakers to put them firmly back in the contest.

The Heat did it without two of their star players; Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic, who could be available to play Game 4 on Wednesday.

If they are back in the team, it will give the Heat a massive boost and the betting line will shorten significantly.

On Monday, the Heat were able to force the Lakers into committing turnovers, which reached double digits by halftime. It was a commanding performance and they called on their champion qualities throughout the game.

The Heat had a 13-point lead early, but just like in Game 1, they gave it up quickly. The Lakers established a four-point lead at one point, but Miami reeled them back in to take an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter.

Once again, Los Angeles fought back and took a two-point lead before Miami pulled away after a 40-point effort from Jimmy Butler.

Will Miami need a 40-point effort from their captain again? Perhaps not, as they could have got more production from the likes of Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson.

If Adebayo and/or Dragic return, that will give them another avenue of scoring power.

For the Lakers, they need to get back to what they do best. Turnovers killed them in Game 3 and they never found an offensive or defensive rhythm.

It’s tough to doubt a team that has LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but we would love to see this series get tied up at 2-2.

Punters are currently getting +7.5 points for Miami, but if their stars return to the court, expect that line to move to around +5.5.

Tip: Miami Heat +7.5

Miami Heat vs. LA Lakers Game 4 exotic betting tips

It was Dwight Howard who scored the first basket on Monday and we think the Lakers could draw up the same play.

Punters are getting value odds for the big man to score the first basket in Game 4, so we suggest backing him in. Howard is paying $10 to score first, and the pass could come from LeBron James again. The value is there and punters could cash in early.

Another exotic option we like is the line/total double. We fancy Miami +7.5 with the Under 219.5. We are expecting a tough defensive battle this time around, which favours both the Heat and the under.

Taking this option pays $3.50 and it should have a great chance of hitting.

There is always value with the Big Win Little Win market at Sportsbet. We think Miami could potentially win Game 4, and their 11-point win netted Heat 11+ punters double-figure odds on Monday.

We don’t think Miami will score by more than 11 points this time around, but we do think they can win 1-10. Punters get $4.45 for this option and that is excellent shopping.

For added value, the Miami/Under 219.5 double pays $6.30. The odds are good enough to have a little flutter with his exotic option.
