2021 NBA Finals Game 3 – Picks, Predictions & Odds

We have betting picks and predictions for Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.

The Phoenix Suns took a 2-0 lead with a 118-108 win on Friday, but now the series heads to Milwaukee where the Bucks need to defend home court.

Going down 0-3 would put the ultimate pressure on the Bucks, so a win on Monday is imperative for the Eastern Conference Champions.

We look at the best bets for the NBA Finals Game 3.

NBA Finals Game 3 Betting Tips

Milwaukee Bucks vs Phoenix Suns Game 3 Prediction

The Phoenix Suns got the job done for favourites’ backers in the first two games, but winning in Milwaukee won’t be as easy.

Milwaukee is 26-10 at home and it was good to see Giannis Antetokounmpo back to his best in Game 2. The Greek Freak had 42 points on 15-22 shooting and he was deadly accurate in the opening stages.

Phoenix was unable to guard him in the paint, but for what Antetokounmpo was able to do on offence, the rest of his team failed to live up to expectations.

The biggest disappointment was Khris Middleton, who has a tendency to disappear in the big situations. He scored 11 points on 5-16 shooting and he was the worst player for the Bucks statistically. It’s not good enough for a player who second-in-command, so he will need to improve in Game 3.

Middleton needs to step up because the Bucks are already limited on offence. P.J. Tucker isn’t an offensive threat and Brook Lopez and Jrue Holiday are streaky players.

It was business as usual for Phoenix, which scored 118 points for the second time this series. The Suns are a confident team and Devin Booker top scored with 31 points. If he goes off again in Game 3, the Bucks could be in deep trouble.

The Bucks have had trouble defending the pick-and-roll, which has led he likes of Booker and Chris Paul to wreak havoc. They need to tighten up that part of the defence, but they typically play much better at Fiserv Forum.

Bookmakers opened the Bucks at $1.75, which lasted only minutes. They are now $1.55 to win, which is a more realistic price of their winning hopes. Milwaukee should lift at home and extend this series to at least five games.

We expect the Bucks to improve significantly and win comfortably. The current points spread line is 3.5, which is a generous line. Take the Bucks to cover the spread in Game 3 on Monday.

Bet: Milwaukee Bucks –3.5 @ $1.90

Milwaukee Bucks vs Phoenix Suns Game 3 Prop Bets

There is plenty of value in the exotic betting markets for Game 3, including in the top points scorer market.

Giannis is the current favourite at $1.83 and we wouldn’t recommend betting against him. He’s coming off a 42-point showing on the road and his number at home read well.

Punters will have to take short odds in this market, and although Booker is a threat, he doesn’t play as well on the road.

We also think Jrue Holiday will play solid defence, including grabbing a couple of steals. Holiday is paying $2.66 to get Over 1.5 steals, which is a steal.

The Bucks are due a huge performance and although it’s safer to back them in head-to-head and points spread markets, taking Bucks 11+ isn’t the worst idea. Sportsbet is paying $3.38 for the double-digit victory and it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

The home crowd will be pumping and the Bucks are a team that can pile on the points in a hurry.

Our final Game 3 prop bet is for Giannis to score 35+ points, which pays $2.40. The offence runs through the big man and he should have another huge scoring performance.
