We have betting tips for the NBA Playoffs on Monday.
There are three games for punters to bet on, including Raptors vs. 76ers, Jazz vs. Mavericks and Nuggets vs. Warriors.
NBA Playoffs Betting Picks
Toronto Raptors vs. Philadelphia 76ers @ Wells Fargo Center
The Philadelphia 76ers were far too strong for the Toronto Raptors in Game 1 and we can’t see the result changing too dramatically.
The 131-111 victory was an outstanding first playoff win for the new-look 76ers and it gives the likes of James Harden and Joel Embiid a chance to bury their playoff demons.
It’s only one game, however, so they’ll need to play well again on Tuesday to see off a dangerous Raptors outfit, who will be looking to apply more defensive pressure.
Allowing 131 points isn’t going to get it done and it was a strange defensive performance from the Raptors, who had allowed only 114 points in a recent win over the 76ers.
Playing on the road doesn’t help and we’re unsure if they can turn that performance around in time. Bookmakers have the Raptors as +7.5 underdogs, which is a fair line considering the score line in the first meeting.
We fancy the 76ers to win and cover the spread. The Raptors’ defense wasn’t good enough and they could make a statement by taking a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Bet: Philadelphia 76ers –7.5 @ $1.90
Utah Jazz vs. Dallas Mavericks @ American Airlines Center
Not having Luka Doncic in the team hurt the Dallas Mavericks in their 99-93 loss to open the series.
The superstar is a must-have for the Mavericks and we’re not sure if we’ll see him back in uniform on Tuesday. If he doesn’t play, the Mavericks could be facing an 0-2 deficit.
It was a dour performance from the home side after showing so much in wins over the Spurs, Trail Blazers and Bucks. Scoring just 93 points isn’t going to cut the mustard, but that’s largely because their main offensive weapon was on the sidelines.
Reports and betting markets suggest Doncic won’t be playing due to his calf strain. The Utah Jazz are $1.42 favourites and that wouldn’t be the case if Doncic was expected to play.
Therefore, the Jazz should be tough to beat again. They weren’t at their offensive best in Game 1 either, but they did enough on the other end of the floor.
Having someone like Rudy Gobert is a big asset and the secondary scorers for the Mavericks could struggle to get open shots in the paint.
The current line is –5.5 and we think the Jazz could take a commanding series lead.
Bet: Utah Jazz –5.5 @ $1.90
Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors @ Chase Center
The Golden State Warriors overcome a slow start in Game 1 to beat the Denver Nuggets 123-107.
They relied on their noted scorers to get the job done with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson playing well, despite Curry coming off the bench.
With Curry in better health, the Warriors are going to be tough to beat and their 31-10 record at home might not come under threat.
Denver has dropped three of its last four games, so there isn’t much momentum to speak of. Nikola Jokic is doing all he can to keep them in the game, but it’s tough without a noted secondary scorer.
Most of the early money has come for the Warriors, who are $1.84 to cover the –6.5 spread. We expect the number to move to around –7.5, so it could pay to lock in the line before it moves.
Bet: Golden State Warriors –6.5 @ $1.84
