With the first trophy of the season going to Liverpool in an enthralling Carabao Cup final, attention naturally turns to whether Jurgen Klopp’s side can catch Manchester City in the title race. The blues have a six point gap, but Liverpool have a game in hand and will be full of confidence moving forward. Chelsea will be hoping to put their off-pitch struggles to the side and secure their top 4 status, whilst Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal continue to huff and puff behind them.

Here are our picks for the next round of fixtures in the Premier League:

Premier League Week 28 Picks

Leicester City vs Leeds United – King Power Stadium

Leicester City ($1.84)

Leeds United ($4.25)

Draw ($4.2)

Leeds will be hoping to start life after Marcelo Bielsa well as they take on Leicester City. The Foxes have struggled for form of late but picked up a good win at Burnley in midweek, a result that will boost their chances of cracking the top half this term. Leeds United meanwhile are a side in freefall, and they are very much in the grips of a relegation battle. This should be an entertaining game in the East Midlands and whilst Leeds are sure to give this a go, Leicester should prevail at home.

Betting tip: Leicester City to win the match ($1.84)

Leicester City to win 2-1

Aston Villa vs Southampton – Villa Park

Aston Villa ($2.4)

Southampton ($3.12)

Draw ($3.55)

Two sides enjoying decent campaigns do battle, as Aston Villa host Southampton. The Villains have been in decent form under Steven Gerrard and now look to be building towards a bright future. They won well at Brighton last weekend, and they will be eager to develop on that result here. Southampton meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last 7 matches in all competitions and with a FA Cup quarter final to look forward to, they have progressed this term. This should be a good game, between two well matched sides and a draw could be on the cards.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.55)

1-1 Draw

Burnley vs Chelsea – Turf Moor

Burnley ($8.5)

Chelsea ($1.33)

Draw ($4.5)

Relegation threatened Burnley will be doing all they can to climb away from the drop zone, as they host Chelsea. The Clarets are a side that never give up and recent results have given them hope of pulling away from danger. They welcome a Chelsea side that are now up for sale, following the departure of Roman Abramovich and the future of the club looks to be up in the air. They are a good footballing side however and the blues should win well at Turf Moor here.

Betting tip: Chelsea to win the match ($1.33)

Chelsea to win 2-0

Newcastle United vs Brighton – St James’s Park

Newcastle United ($2.76)

Brighton ($2.88)

Draw ($3.25)

Newcastle United will be hoping to build on their superb recent form as they take on Brighton. Toon have been in great nick over the past few weeks and Eddie Howe looks to have his side dreaming of staying in the division this term. They take on a Brighton side that have struggled a little following their incredible start to the season, and they won’t want to tail off this term. This should be a superb game, between two exciting sides, with the draw looking the most likely outcome in the North East.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.25)

1-1 Draw

Norwich City vs Brentford – Carrow Road

Norwich City ($3)

Brentford ($2.66)

Draw ($3.2)

Two sides looking to secure their Premier League status at the earliest possible opportunity face off as Norwich City host Brentford. The Canaries are starting to show signs that they have what it takes to stay in the league this term, but they still need to pick up points at every opportunity. Brentford meanwhile have seen results plateau somewhat in recent weeks, but they will feel they still have enough to remain in the division with a couple more wins. This should be a decent game in East Anglia, with the draw looking a likely result.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.2)

1-1 Draw

Wolves vs Crystal Palace – Molineux

Wolves ($2.42)

Crystal Palace ($3.55)

Draw ($3.2)

Wolves will be looking to further their European football agenda as they host Crystal Palace. The hosts have been right in the mix for a top 6 finish or better all season and they will want to bounce back from their narrow defeat to West Ham last time out. Crystal Palace meanwhile are a side improving under Patrick Vieira, but their results are still a bit patchy at times. This should be a very good game, with Wolves most likely to edge it at home.

Betting tip: Wolves to win the match ($2.42)

Wolves to win 2-1

Liverpool vs West Ham United – Anfield

Liverpool ($1.33)

West Ham United ($11)

Draw ($5.8)

Quadruple chasing Liverpool will be keen to keep the results coming in as they take on West Ham United. The reds picked up the Carabao Cup last weekend and continue to fight on four fronts this term under Jurgen Klopp. West Ham meanwhile are enjoying a good season under David Moyes, but they were dumped out of the FA Cup by Southampton in midweek and need to respond here. This could be tighter than the odds suggest but Liverpool should pick up a crucial win on Saturday evening.

Betting tip: Liverpool to win the match ($1.33)

Liverpool to win 3-1

Watford vs Arsenal – Vicarage Road

Watford ($6.5)

Arsenal ($1.63)

Draw ($4.2)

Relegation threatened Watford will be looking to pull away from trouble as they take on Arsenal. The Hornets have slowly been improving under Roy Hodgson and whilst the great escape remains a possibility, they clearly have work to do. They welcome an Arsenal side that have been steadily improving under Mikel Arteta and that are travelling under the radar somewhat this season in their top 4 bid. This could be a closer game than people think in North London, but the Gunners should pick up the points.

Betting tip: Arsenal to win the match ($1.63)

Arsenal to win 3-1

Manchester City vs Manchester United – Etihad Stadium

Manchester City ($1.4)

Manchester United ($9.4)

Draw ($5.2)

The Manchester Derby will be the headline act this weekend as City host United. The blues have been a few notches off their best in recent weeks but are generally still getting the results, exemplified by tight wins over Everton and Peterborough in the past week. They welcome a United side that don’t look to be at their best, but they have a habit of spoiling the party when they want to at the Etihad. With so much at stake, this should be a tight one and the draw looks the most likely result.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($5.2)

1-1 Draw

Tottenham vs Everton – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham ($1.65)

Everton ($6)

Draw ($4.2)

Antonio Conte takes on Frank Lampard in what should be an intriguing battle on Monday Night Football, Spurs are a side in a state of flux and their defeat to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup last week was particularly chastening for all associated with the club. Everton fought hard against Manchester City last time out and were perhaps unlucky not to pick up a point, but they remain in the relegation scrap and in need of points. This should be a tight game, with Spurs most likely to clinch all three points.

Betting tip: Tottenham to win the match ($1.65)

Tottenham to win 2-1
