2021-22 EPL Week 21 – Picks, Predictions & Odds

The chaotic festive period of the Premier League season continues, with Manchester City in danger of pulling away from their rivals at the top of the table. City picked up a good win at Brentford last time out and with Chelsea and Liverpool dropping points, the fate of the title is currently in their hands. For the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham, results have improved in recent weeks – as they both look towards a top 4 finish, yet at the bottom of the table, the likes of Newcastle, Norwich and Burnley will be looking to pull away from trouble asap.

Here are our picks for the next round of fixtures in the Premier League:

Premier League Week 21 Picks

Arsenal vs Manchester City – Emirates Stadium

Arsenal ($6.25)

Manchester City ($1.56)

Draw ($4.75)

Table-topping Manchester City will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the pile, as they travel to Arsenal. The Gunners are currently in the top 4 and are looking a side reborn under Mikel Arteta in recent weeks, with European football seemingly a realistic prospect next season. Manchester City meanwhile won in gritty fashion at Brentford in midweek and are simply looking to keep churning out the results – something they have done so well in recent years. This should be a superb game and with the sheer accumulation of games weighing heavy on both sides, a draw could be the most realistic outcome.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($4.75)

1-1 Draw

Watford vs Tottenham – Vicarage Road

Watford ($5.6)

Tottenham ($1.65)

Draw ($4.4)

Struggling Watford will be looking to get some points on the board as they take on Tottenham. The Hornets haven’t been able to generate any sort of momentum under Claudio Ranieri in recent weeks and are embroiled in a relegation battle as a result. Tottenham by contrast have improved markedly under Antonio Conte and now look a side capable of challenging for a Champions League place at the end of the campaign. This should be an entertaining one, with Tottenham most likely to come out on top.

Betting tip: Tottenham to win the match ($1.65)

Tottenham to win 2-0

Crystal Palace vs West Ham United – Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace ($3.3)

West Ham United ($2.4)

Draw ($3.5)

Two sides in decent nick face off as Crystal Palace welcome West Ham United. The Eagles are in fantastic form under Patrick Vieira, and they will see this as a very winnable fixture at home. West Ham meanwhile haven’t been able to hit the heights of previous weeks in the last couple of games but are still in the running for a top 6 finish and with the Europa League knockout rounds to focus on in the new year, it is an exciting time to be a Hammers fan. This should be a close run thing, with the draw the most likely outcome.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.5)

1-1 Draw

Brentford vs Aston Villa – Brentford Community Stadium

Brentford ($3.05)

Aston Villa ($2.56)

Draw ($3.35)

Aston Villa will be looking to continue their good start under Steven Gerrard as they face a tricky looking trip to Brentford. The Bees have been in good form this season, proving a match for most sides and they were only edged out by Manchester City 1-0 in midweek. Aston Villa meanwhile look to be with an outside shot of a European football place next season, with results and performances improving since Gerrard took the helm. This should be a good game, with Villa most likely to nick the points.

Betting tip: Aston Villa to win the match ($2.56)

Aston Villa to win 2-1

Everton vs Brighton – Goodison Park

Everton ($2.8)

Brighton ($2.8)

Draw ($3.3)

Two sides in need of a win do battle as Everton host Brighton at Goodison Park. The Toffees have lacked consistency under Rafa Benitez so far this season and look to be content on battling for a top half finish, unless results drastically improve. Brighton meanwhile picked up a really good point at Chelsea last time out but have only won one of their last 14 league games, leaving them stuck in mid table currently. As the odds suggest, this will be tight, and a draw looks to be on the cards here.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.3)

1-1 Draw

Leeds United vs Burnley – Elland Road

Leeds United ($2.15)

Burnley ($3.65)

Draw ($3.5)

Leeds United will be looking to kickstart their season, as they take on Burnley at Elland Road. Poor form, injuries and COVID 19 has played havoc with Leeds’s schedule this term, but they are a side packed with quality – in need of some inspiration. Burnley meanwhile have also had their season derailed by COVID and are in the relegation zone as a result. Sean Dyche’s men are astute however, particularly when it comes to Premier League survival. This should be attritional in Yorkshire, with the draw the most likely outcome.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.5)

1-1 Draw

Southampton vs Newcastle United – St Mary’s Stadium

Southampton ($1.7)

Newcastle United ($5.5)

Draw ($4)

Two sides operating at the wrong end of the table face off as Southampton host Newcastle United. The Saints have been plucky as ever this season and look in no real danger of going down but always need to keep their points haul ticking over whenever possible. Newcastle meanwhile picked up a deserved point against Manchester United last time out and look to be a side improving under Eddie Howe, despite genuine relegation fears. This should be a good game, with Southampton most likely to nick the points.

Betting tip: Southampton to win the match ($1.7)

Southampton to win 2-1

Chelsea vs Liverpool – Stamford Bridge

Chelsea ($3.2)

Liverpool ($2.36)

Draw ($3.57)

The tie of the round sees Chelsea host Liverpool, as both sides look to make up ground on Manchester City. Chelsea dropped points against Brighton last time out and were the early season pace setters but results in recent weeks have been a little underwhelming and they have lost ground on Manchester City in the title race. Liverpool meanwhile suffered a similar fate at Leicester, losing 1-0 and they too look to have their work cut out to catch up with Manchester City. This should be a really good game, with the whole world watching and a draw seems the most plausible outcome.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.57)

1-1 Draw

Manchester United vs Wolves – Old Trafford

Manchester United ($1.6)

Wolves ($6.5)

Draw ($4.33)

Two sides in the hunt for European football next season face off as Wolves travel to Manchester United. The reds got back to winning ways against Burnley last time out but still sit 19 points off the pace in the Premier League title race, although they do have some games in hand. Wolves haven’t been able to generate much momentum in recent weeks due to COVID 19 but have impressed this season, mixing it with the big boys regularly and they’ll see this as another chance to impress. This should be a very good game, which Manchester United should ultimately prevail from when it matters.

Betting tip: Manchester United to win the match ($1.6)

Manchester United to win 2-1
