Charles Schwab Challenge Preview
Charles Schwab Challenge Best Bet – Rory McIlroy @ $8
McIlroy has been active during lockdown, competing in online cycling events and other charity events. However, it will be all business on Friday for the current world number one.
The Northern Irishman finished fifth at his most recent tournament in March and although he played poorly on the final day, he won’t remember much of that.
Rory was just starting to find his groove before golf was postponed, but bookmakers have taken a lot of action for him to return a winner.
The $8 is a fair price with bookmakers and although it’s single figures for a golfer, we expected something around $6.

Charles Schwab Challenge Best Value – Justin Thomas @ $17
Juicy odds on offer for a player that never lacks confidence. He finished sixth at the WGC Mexico Championship and although he has missed two cuts this year, that won’t deter his chances.
The 27-year-old has had ample time to find out what was going wrong and although the market has lost some confidence, punters shouldn’t have.
$17 for a player of Thomas’ ability is tremendous value and if he comes in with a good opening round, those odds will firm heavily.
Stick with the American this season, as he will pay off punters nicely.

First Round Leader Tips – Bryson Dechambeau @ $34
Betting in the first round leader market is never easy, which is why bookmakers offer big odds for every player.
Bryson Dechambeau is a player that likes to start well and when he starts making putts, he is tough to catch. Dechambeau is often around the leaders after Day 1, so the odds are attractive for the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge.
He only needs to make a few putts to stake his claim. He can be frustrating slow to watch, but punters that cash in won’t be worried.
Another potential first round leader hope is Webb Simpson. He was in good form prior to the break and he is still an underrated player.
Simpson is paying $36 to be first round leader and he is worth a play.

Charles Schwab Challenge Top 10 Betting Predictions
Punters can always find good value in the Top 10 market and we have three players, not including the players we have already mentioned, who could play well.
Jon Rahm @ $2.60
The feisty Spaniard is now the second-best player in the world according to the rankings. He rarely puts in a bad effort and he deserves attention this week.
Rahm isn’t always favourable with punters, but that should change in 2020 and his Top 10 odds are worth taking.
Patrick Reed @ $4.20
As much as he’s easy to hate, there is no denying Patrick Reed’s ability. The American is coming off a drama-filled season, but he always gets down to business.
He has been a good bet for golf punters over the last few years and that’s unlikely to change this season.
Reed is one of the best players in the world and his odds don’t reflect that.
Jordan Spieth @ $5
We are not sure what has happened to Jordan Spieth, but the break couldn’t have done him any harm.
He has gone from one of the best players in the world to a player struggling with confidence. However, he has had time to work things out and we might see the Spieth of old.
It all comes down to his putting and although it’s not an easy fix, he is capable of producing the goods.
