Venue: Silverstone Circuit, UK.
Race Date: 3rd July 2022
The iconic British Grand Prix is next on the Formula 1 calendar and Max Verstappen is once again the man to catch. The Dutchman won comfortably in Canada last week to strengthen his grip on the Driver’s Championship and with teams faltering around him and Red Bull, he has his fate very much in his own hands this season. The likes of Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes will be all keen to put on a show at Silverstone, which is always one of the biggest races of the year and it should be another epic encounter at the British Grand Prix.

F1 British Grand Prix Race Winner
In race nine of the 2022 Formula One season, all of the biggest names on the grid will be battling for supremacy here at Silverstone:
Max Verstappen – $2.20
Defending champion Max Verstappen has picked up 6 wins from 9 races already this term and he looks to have the Driver’s Championship in his own hands once more. With other teams cracking around him, Verstappen has held his nerve in all of his races recently and his wins in Azerbaijan and Canada have cemented his place at the top of the leader board. The title race is a long way from over, but Verstappen has his fate in his own hands, and he will be the man to beat at Silverstone here.
Charles Leclerc – $3.40
Ferrari and Charles Leclerc have fallen off the pace this season and they will be eager to ensure that they at least finish this race, after some poor performances in recent weeks. The Championship lead he had at the start of the season has now disappeared and he is now playing a chasing game, hoping Verstappen slips up somewhere. Silverstone is a tricky track and Leclerc will be doing all he can to peg Verstappen and Red Bull back here.
Sergio Perez – $8.00
Red Bull have two seriously quick cars this season and Sergio Perez is more than pulling his weight as the second driver. Consistent podiums and his win at Monaco last month are proof of his suitability at the top of the grid but having to battle with Verstappen does look to be a bridge too far at times. Perez does have a habit of cashing in on any slip ups and he will be the front runner to get over the line, should anything happen to Leclerc and Verstappen out in front.

F1 British Grand Prix Top Six Finish
Race 10 of the season here at Silverstone presents an opportunity for every driver to keep putting points on the board:
Carlos Sainz – $1.36
It has been a really tough few weeks for Carlos Sainz and Ferrari who have huffed and puffed at times this season. Top 6 finishes are all Sainz has really been able to deal in this season, but he will be keen to put points on the board in the Constructors Championship and his driving style should suit here at Silverstone.
George Russell – $1.40
Solid podium finishes in recent weeks should do George Russell the world of good, with the Brit looking to get to grips with the Mercedes car. Driving in front of home fans in home conditions should spur the young Brit on here and with speed to burn, he could be one to watch throughout this week.
Lando Norris – $2.50
Fellow Brit Lando Norris is another of the most exciting drivers on the grid, but he has endured his struggles with McLaren this season too. Some have been self-inflicted, whilst others have been due to mechanical failure, but Norris clearly needs to develop his consistency at this level and a top 6 finish here at Silverstone, would go a long way towards doing just that.
