Introduction to Barstool Sportsbook

The Barstool Sportsbook was launched in 2020 by Barstool Sports, a media company that has a long history in providing daily news content.

The venture in the sports betting world was successful after generating $11 million worth of wagers in its opening week.

Run by parent company, Penn National Gaming, Barstool Sportsbook is now available in Pennsylvania and Michigan, and it’s licensed and regulated by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Barstool Sportsbook Website Design

The website design at Barstool Sportsbook is different to most US-based bookmakers, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

The home page features the latest betting markets in the middle of the page, so bettors don’t have to search around for the popular markets.

However, there is no list of sports on the left-hand side, which doesn’t keep in line with most bookmakers not only in the US, but around the world. Instead, Barstool Sportsbook has the sports list across the top of the page, which isn’t ideal for navigation.

The color scheme keeps in line with the Barstool Sports brand and we like that aspect. The red and blue theme is synonymous with the brand, so keeping it for the sportsbook is a nice touch.

Some work is needed on navigation throughout the site, especially when clicking into sport markets. Scrolling down the page isn’t ideal as only two or three markets appear on the page due to space constrictions.

It’s a downside for this impressive bookmaker, but it wouldn’t take much to improve.

Overall, the website design needs work, but it hasn’t been live for long, so we’re prepared to give them time.

The Barstool Sportsbook has an excellent range of sports available for bettors. Major American sports are available, including NBA, NFL and MLB.

Odds are competitive and there is good statistical information provided, which not every bookmaker has available. There are ‘streaks’ which gives bettors added information before placing a bet, which is a big bonus.

There is also an excellent section of futures markets. Barstool Sportsbook excels at offering futures betting, which is one of the best aspects of this online bookmaker.

Barstool Sportsbook Horse Racing

Horse racing is currently unavailable for online bettors at Barstool Sports. This is due to state-by-state legislation, but we expect horse racing to be a part of the market in the future.

Barstool Sportsbook Withdrawal options

Withdrawing money from your Barstool Sportsbook account is available via e-check, Check, online banking and PayPal.

Unfortunately, due to regulations, bettors cannot withdraw back onto a credit or debit card. Our preferred method of withdrawal is PayPal or online banking.

PayPal withdrawals go through a processing period, but once the funds have cleared, it appears in your PayPal account instantly.

Our Thoughts on Barstool Sportsbook

Barstool Sportsbook gives bettors in Pennsylvania and Michigan plenty of sports betting options and excellent value odds.

The promotional department works hard to provide new and exciting ways for bettors to cash in, which is a positive.

Site navigation could do with some work, but it’s a minor complaint about an online bookmaker that is making its mark in the online betting world.
